The Sharp Show 2022 England

Really good selection and styles of knives, looks extremely well-attended too, nice to see a hive of enthusiasm

That knife you show in wood with brass bolsters and centre band - you think it might be Hungarian? Wonder if @Jolipapa would comment? He knows a deal bout Magyar knives. I wonder if it might be Turkish?

Thanks, Will
The stall owner said to me look at this one no ones paying it any attention.
It was massive and looked very old, it certainly was different to everything else.

Sincerely thank you for the pictures! I was wondering how's the show looks like, and here comes the thread I've been waiting for. Many interesting things you don't see on the net for sure! Hope to attend some local knife show one day too.

There were some real gems in some of those photo's! I spotted a barrel knife in the top right of one and what looked like a Randal in another. Very surprised at the attendance of vendors and visitors considering where you are. Thank you for sharing all of these pics with us Johnnythefox Johnnythefox , looks like you had a great day. I willl definitely spend some time looking more closely at the tables, it was a little overwhelming how many knives were on what displays you showed, I would have been slack jawed and drooling looking at all of that sharp steel. Nice thread!

This is just some of them, there where hundreds on the old knives table I just couldn't take it all in, I realy couldn't.
So many I would have loved to own, next time I will take more cash 😁

Johnnythefox Johnnythefox thanks for sharing, looks like a great show with lots of good stuff to look at!

My favourite table,it was here I emptied my wallet 😂

I am sure I missed lots of good uns,I dont have the knowledge a lot of you have.

I went to the Badger Knife Show in Wisconsin earlier this year — my first knife show, actually — and these were the kinds of tables that were the most fun to pick through. 😁 As someone who likes/appreciates vintage knives but isn’t that knowledgeable about them, getting to handle literally hundreds in person is priceless! So much better than the occasional traditional knife or two spotted at an antique shop or flea market.

It’s funny, at the Badger show, I had a keen eye out for any GEC tubes (and knives, of course), and I don’t think I saw that many in the whole show! 🤣

He flew in from the US and got through customs without a hitch he said.
His friction folders where great and very popular with the EDC crowd.

Really interesting to see Michael Morris there. That’s quite a trip! I wonder if he generally gets a lot of business from the UK with his small friction folders. They are nice, interesting knives (if a bit pricey for a friction folder).

I always enjoy a good knife show! Your fella in the last pic of the first group, Robert Cutting. I think he's on one of the knife forums, goes by "Iron Hoarder". I've traded across the pond with him before...

I think I would have had a good time there. My wallet, not so much!
