The Shrinkster wallet! My own simple design and manufacture.

I got mine and have uses it daily. Its great. I would like a 2nd vertical band just because I use the cross pattern for cards so they don't fall out and one vertical for cash, so a second vertical for more retention while still being able to pull it out from one side I think would solve my worry

I have been carrying one for a couple of weeks now. I found like someone else posted that I like the bands close to the edge. Easier to get things in and out. I went from carrying my old wallet in by back wallet to carrying this one in my front pocket. I like the front pocket carry better. I carry it in my left front pocket with my cell phone (Droid Bionic, no case), don't have to worry about it scratching up my phone and they fit together well. I usually have my license, three cards, some cash and a few receipts in the wallet, a lot less than I carried in my old wallet.

I may try making two replacement plastic pieces from some thinner Kydex I have laying around and put a small band around each piece and the large band around both pieces and carrying cash and receipts between the two Kydex pieces.

I am a front pocket carry convert now.

I am glad to hear you are getting use out of it! Maybe this wallet can save a few hips and lower backs, that would be a good thing. I always heard carrying a big wallet in the back pocket was bad for that. So I have always carried little wallets up front. Seems more secure to me too.

I really like that people are taking the shrinkster and finding ways to make them suit themselves better, be it drilling holes for necklace use, or orienting the bands different, or even making a Shrinkster Sandwich like Greg!
Maybe I will try keeping the bands closer to the edge awhile, I am a bit of a worry wort and felt like that would be less secure.

Thanks so much for the stories of how you are using it everyone, and your ideas for improvement.

Greg I am going to send you a Shrinkster Sandwich for testing. I made one and am concerned that the extra stress on the large rubber band created by wedging the two plastic pieces apart could cause early failure of the large rubber band. I do want the Shrinksters to be long lasting, durable, trustworthy products.

I still carry my "coin purse" type front pocket wallet. I use my Shrinkster as my "daily shopper". It is sitting on my desk in front of me right now, with cards and notes as a task list, and when I go out, it will hold credit or ATM cards, some cash, and my shopping list up front. All I have to do is go into my shirt pocket for it instead of fumbling through a busier wallet in a pants or jacket pocket.

As a native New Yorker, I am deeply into the security of a small, unobtrusive wallet. Shopping off the Shrinkster tells no one where I keep any money worth trying to pickpocket.

Got mine the other day. I use it as more of a wallet insert for all my certifications and licenses and insurance cards. It's the perfect size for it. That coupled with when asked to produce them I don't have to take my wallet out of my pocket I can just grab it, it makes for such an easier back and forth. I do keep a few bucks folded up under the cards under a second band. It makes it so IF I forgot to grab my wallet when running out of the house I'm not completely destitute till I get back. It's a great and simple design man, Thanks!

I just ordered two. Mainly for my fiance who doesn't always carry a purse. She usually wraps cash around a few cards and secures with a hairband. This looks like a more elegant solution to her problem. Got one for me to try out as well while i was there.

Thanks everyone!
It seems like alot of people are using them as supplemental wallets.
I am glad to hear they are working out.

Evan I will have yours shipped tonight!

I received mine and love it! Thanks so much for the simple design:cool:
I will be heading out on spring break and plan to put it through it's paces :p

Just got both of mine and they're great. So simple it's genius. I use only the 2 smaller bands both horizontally, one side with 8 or so cards strapped with both bands, the other side with bills folded in half using one band. What else it great is the size. It full of cash and cards, is still less than half the size of my leather wallet empty!
It's also water proof, and I've ran wallets through the washer a few times.

My package came the other day. Shane was great to deal with, great comms and fast shipping.

My fiance loves it her shinkster. She loaded it up the day it came and has been using it since.

She's happy, so I'm happy. Thanks for helping me score some points.:thumbup:

Got mine last week just what ive beem looking for always trying to find ways to lighten up my gear so i can carry more toys. The shrinkster is the best way ive found to carry my cards and cash ive used the rubber band method just wrapping the band around the cards and money never worked very good constantly fumbling around trying to remove what i need without losing anything . I also have a money clip wallet a stingray skin one that A.G. Russel sells light weight good looking wallet but worthless for carring cash after awile the clip just doesnt hold lost a few dollars that way . So far ive had none of these problems with the shrinkster everything stays where it supposed to be and is easy to remove when you need it . I also think i found one more use for the shrinkster i found that if i put my keys thru the one of the bands i only carry a few keys on my key ring no more rattling keys and i dont have to worry abought them sliding out when i sit down . Like what many posters have said Shane was a pleasure to deal with great comm quick replys wouldnt hesitate to do buisness with him again and soon probably will the wife wants one to . Thanks Rich

Hello Shane,

I really like your idea, and would like to order one wallet =)

It is possible to order another pair of bands (2 pairs included + the 3rd)? Just to have more than one replacement, as im going to stay a little away for I dont know how many time. What is the international shipping fee?

Also, how thick is the floatation device?

And.. the most important:

You say... "Water won't harm it. With the optional Shrinkster floatation device it floats! I have tested it with 6 bills and eight cards and it floated. I believe it could float with more."

It will float the same (in my case with euros) with x6, 5 E bills, and x6 500 E bills? They dont have the same weight! :D (Just kidding!)

Regards
