Forgot, or fell asleep on your keyboard with your nightcap still in hand?

Yesterday's finds (not including the 11; included solely for Becker content): #78 rabbet/fillister, #64, #51 spokeshaves and a Union 102 block plane.

Pretty psyched about the #78.

My day turned out to not be as bad as originally intended! This is indeed good news!

Maus, DAMN SON! You do everything extreme don't you?!

Woody, see if you can combine the two properties into one loan, not sure if that is even an option but if it is that would be awesome!

I will be mortgaging this for 15 years. I got all the numbers yesterday, if i take it, once i pay it off i will have paid just over double the original price.

That is a lot of interest. However you also get a significant tax advantage since the interest is deductible. Should help a bit when April 15 rolls around.

You guys are coming up with some solid finds on the old tools. It gets in your blood. Used to be easy, not so much now.

I love checking out yard sales and stuff. You can find a lot of good stuff, and if you are good at talking to people you can get things for very little money. A smart phone and patience helps look for the value of things and what to avoid.

I need more tools though.

Jeremy

Not as much nor as cheap as it was 40 years ago when I started to buy old tools. I used to find Stanley planes for under $5 and Disston saws for a dollar. But last year, there were 2 yard sales about 100 yards apart in my neighbor hood where I bought 3 different sizes of Stanley hammers, 6 assorted screwdriver bits for a Yankee screwdriver and a couple of chisels for $8. At the other yard sale, I picked up 2 Disston saws and a set of brace bits in a wooden case for $10.
