If I recall correctly, the 0560/0561 was voted the official folder of the Beckerheads a couple years back.

Mmmmmmm

:):):)

Ouch Maus. Tuck and roll next time. Glad it wasn't worse.

WW that house sounds like a pretty sweet deal.

The 0560 is great but big and somewhat uncomfortable with hard use and no gloves. I don't carry mine anymore but I would never get rid of it. It really is a nice knife.

My folders usually aren't put through super hard use, if I'm doing anything that I think could damage a folder I always use my BK14, so I think I'd be alright in that respect.

Hell yeah. Although.....the new 0630 Emerson/ZT collab will be kicking it outta my pocket for a while. No oh-so-smooth bearings like the 0560, but I'm digging the wave feature. And the Mini-Division? Also pretty cool and so far, quite comfortable.

I agree with that. I used it to field dress a deer a couple years ago and it did a fine job, but it definitely has some sharp corners. I picked up an 0801 a while back it is more comfortable and for me an even smoother flipper.

Cb's post got me wondering, how was the official Beckerhead folder voted on and was it a thread or?

There was a phase of "official" this and that. All in good fun and mostly just to see who preferred what.

Heal up soon Mauser. That's pretty nasty. Glad it's not worse though.

GSOM - that snow is pretty nasty as well.

Feel better, good luck, have a good night, etc, etc.... That should cover all the bases.

Good night...time for sleep...and maybe this thread will still be open in the morning...

WW - IIRC, you almost have that other property paid off, sometime this summer, which was why you were moving then. True??? If so, KEEP IT.

2 reasons -
1) That way you have a "wild woods" area you can always go to camp on. play around on, etc, to your heart's content.

2) If you just "let it go back" even though there's no negative credit report or any thing, you are out all of the principal you have in it. That's a chunk of change to just throw away.

Worst case?? Finish paying it off and YOU sell it to some one else so you get some of your money back.

Me? I guess I just can't seeing giving it back when you have it so close to paid off.

Listen to this Wood.... Good advice.

bladite - look up UHMW tape.
converting from drawer glides to slides = a major PITA.

there's nothing under the draws but a C rail; otherwise air. nothing to tape. i'd have to build something to slide on...

with the right tools the two styel of draw glides actually looks ... trivial :> but i have 24 draws. oof.

in examining the rails, it may behoove me to just build new drawers too.

My ZT will turn your Sebbie into the shards of narsil. :D You'll have to call up some elves to reforge it for you. :foot:

nah, ZT has to pay licensing fees for just using screws :D copy cat.

Sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of awesomeness coming from ZT 0560's around the world. :D

Got to hold a Sebbie at the knife show though, and I have to say, it was a very impressively built knife, but after all the hype it was almost a let down. Still a super nice knife, just not as remarkable as expected.

That said, if ya wanna send me one of yours... :D

mine are all engraved to me :D

so much steel :D oh my!

Still prefer my Gunhammers to either 560 or Sebenza. Great knives; I will get a custom one someday. Maybe I need to get into making my own folders...
