I've read all sorts of remedies, i.e, clear fingernail polish, which they say is bunk, mixing salt and mentholatum, etc. Nothing really seems to work. Best thing I've found so far, for the ones on your ankles, is to keep socks on all the time until they fall off. Except for taking a shower, I keep them on all the time. Itches way less. This time, they're mostly on my ankle area, but some have made it up my leg. Luckily, those don't seem to itch too bad...yet.Back in the ancient of days, we used to put a cap or two of bleach in a sink and washed down every possible at risk part with it. Worked pretty good. But those were 20th century chiggers. I don't know a lot about 21st century ones. Or northern ones.
