Glad you are enjoying it, man. It's a great knife.

Have a couple of users I purchased coming in. Look forward to getting them.

Really looking forward to moving to the house my gf and myself bought. Supposed to get the key in August. Some rebuilding is needed but I hope to be able to move in there soon.
From time to time I already put some stuff together. Mostly the usable stuff like plates, glasses... But I decided to clean out my knife boxes. It's kinda creepy to see how many boxes I cleared out of some closets, lol!

And then I found the Becker boxes... Always cool to open up again and find spare pairs of scales and the like. Also cool that I still found an unused bk4 and bk5 (came with the bk20). An unused bk15 with smooth coating (from m-drop, I think) and an unused bk16 from a gaw on here... Not proud of that last one BUT it's gonna get a proud spot on the new (fossil hunting/dayhiking) backpack I ordered yesterday, as well as some Becker patches I also rediscovered. Cleaning out the closet, I can recommend it ...

Oh and some bahco branded Mora clippers. Gonna be so well equipped in the new house ... Which will be needed. The yard is littered with willow trees and they gotta go ASAP. Can't wait to get started on a wood stash for the fireplace (there's a fireplace!). Plant some fruit trees instead. Apples, pears... Hmmm... Why is it not August already!?

So what you got coming?
Just got the Condor Huron in. I like it, and really like the blade shape and finish, but was surprised at how short the handle is. Most Condors have nice size handles on them:

EDIT: Joe let me know that the production model will have a longer handle. This is a prototype.

Nice! We are getting hammered with rain here. Just finished walking the dog and I'm soaked.

Yep, so glad I put in that weeper!! My front yard looked flooded lol. The back is no longer a swimming pool!!

Yeah, your bear paws would swallow that thing!

Dubs, CB, you guys doing alright? How bad you guys all get hit by the storm?

I am at work right now, and leaving in half an hour cause it's going to take probably 4 hours to get home. They are closing 55 tonight and that is the last highway in and out between me and work. Going to run (hahahaha) home and get some clothes and get a hotel for the rest of the week.

Yeah, doing fine. Got lots of rain, about it. Flooded around here pretty good, but I've seen worse. Supposed to get more rain tomorrow. Flash flood warnings again.

So this is a problem LOL! I work north of the river and live south.

Here's what MoDOT says "The closures of 55, Lemay Ferry and Telegraph would effectively cut off the southern part of the metro area. Starting from the west, Highway F south of Pacific is already closed at the Meramec; Highway 109 in Eureka is closed at the river; Interstate 44 closed Monday night; Highway 141 crosses the Meramec but is closed before Interstate 44; Highway 30 (Gravois Road) was closed; Highway 21 (Tesson Ferry Road) is expected to close Tuesday; and I-55, Lemay Ferry and Telegraph are expected to close overnight."

Glad you guys are all alright there sir. This rain has been brutal!

there have been complaints of lack of knowledge from the old ones in younger lives

well, get a copy of "pocket ref" or "desk ref" and memorize the thing.

it's a good start.

i know grown ass adults, in their 40s and more... who have no life skills when it comes to owning a house, knowing even enough to keep a car in shape without being raped by a dealership, barely have enough safety cred to run a line trimmer, let alone a lawn mower.

sad panda
