Hello again everyone!

I love the etched blades, I do not yet own one, but one day.

I belive last sunday, I posted some pics in the week old thread, so I will again post them suspecting not everyone saw. Sorry for any double take. Also there is a few new pictures of a "prototype Buck 110 I made. The butt spacer/spring holder as well as the lockback or spine are made out of carbon fiber. It also got phosphorous bronze bushings a bolt together frame and a twist damascus blade by Snakeriver Knives.

I really like the ambidextrous stud. Opening left handed takes some practice.

That's my knife for SPS this week. I made it a few years ago and
Joe H. used it for deer hunting one time. It has a hand forged carbon
steel blade. and the 64 000 Dollar question: Do you know what
kind of material is used for the handle?

Best,
Haebbie

... my guess for the handle material is "birch" ...

Peter

Yes, Peter, 100 Pionts!

... took a workmate, decorticated a fallen birch, took the bark,
dryied it for several weeks, grindet it and took off the white skin
and glued one square inch pieces together with wood glue. the
darker stipes ar made of wild cherry bark.

Best,
Haebbie

Thank you, Armand.

To make the knife needed at least roundabout 10 hours, but the gluing more than two weeks.

As promised, photos of my "junk" store finds:

A 2003 503 that was retipped (it doesn't look too bad so I think I'll leave alone)

Now for the 303:

The blades are worn but, there is no evidence of abuse (grinding). It has been well used and has earned a nice retirement from EDC.:)

Curvy fixed Kalinga Pro, 408RWS-B, rich Rosewood, bright Brass & lots of super S30V steel.
