WOW ! ! ! Are first Sunday Picture Show for 2011... Let's make it a Great Year for all of us here on the Buck Forum ...

Hello everyone, it's time again for the Sunday Picture Show... This Show is for everyone... So feel free to talk about and compliment each other about there new or old Buck knives... We all like to show are new or older knives that we just got or had for years... So everyone please share and post a picture of one of your Buck knives or a picture with lots of Buck knives... Fixed blades or folders... Post all the pictures you want, but save some for next Sundays Picture Show... Post a new picture or a old picture... A new Buck Knife you just got or a old Buck Knife you had for a long time... Just take a new Picture of it... Just get creative and make Buck Proud.... Thanks, ItsTooEarly ...

Here's my picture for the SPS... I really like Bucklite knives so here's a 422^(88) Penn State College Bucklite... I don't know how many they made or very much about this knife... So if you have any Info about it, I would really like to hear more about it... It still has some packing oil on the blade...

Thanks for looking ... ITE

Lets keep the 'different' theme going. This is the 186 Tiburon, water sports knife.
Cataloged 1999 - 2004. List priced $68.00 to 74.00. Its design was assisted by
Ed Gillette and his signature is on the grip. Ed, was a kayaker in San Diego, CA of some note. Especially sea kayaking, in 1987 he paddled
solo from CA to Hawaii in 64 days. He said if he were to do it again he would fix a better rain tarp and take more food.....300Bucks

Lenght 8 1/2 ", Weigh 6 oz., This is interesting, made with 17 - 7PH stainless for better corrison resistance.

Think about balancing a kayak in the ocean, while you hung your rear-end over the edge for the call of nature....shark!

I really don't have anything new and exciting this weeks, so I dug out some old pictures of one of my favorite Buck patterns.

No new knife, no progress at the 903.
But I can show you what hinders me from making the 903 scales.
This coffer needs my time between christmas and now.

Best,
Haebbie

Haebbie, that is one very large vise in the background. The table in the back looks like an old woodworking table.

This year, 2011, will mark the 50th anniversary of Buck Knives, Inc. which was incorporated on April 7, 1961. I am too lazy to photograph the leather spacer 120 in my collection, since I already have a picture of a 1962 nearly identical barrel-nut 120. So here is an almost 50 year old 120. Maybe I'll get more energy later and post some true 50 year old bucks.

((grin))
It seems that my workshop is more interesting than the new furniture I made.

Yes, I am with Crocdile Dundee ..."that's a vise" ... And the old woodworking table (carpenter's bench??) is more than 100 years old and it still works fine.

This is an older 103 with the old style sheath that I paid too much for.

I decided to get up off my lazy backside and photo a 50 year old barrel-nut set with the leather spacers. Note that the set is numbered "210" and the skinner is a 110.

Dang I know where there's one them in a pawn shop

I found these at the flea market today. The guy had some 110s and 112s in sheaths from $30 to $45. The $45.00 110 had a red leather sheath, thats the first i saw one of those. But he had this three dot 112 with no sheath and when I asked how much he said $20.00 so I jumped on it. Towards the end of his stand he had this 119, no date stamp, with the svivel sheath, he had it marked $38 but said $ so I had to take it. Sorry about the pics , the camera and me still don't get along too well. Enjoy your Sunday guys.

Good eye there David, I hadn't noticed that until you mentioned it. It's strange that these were "Final Production Run" knives from 2008, so I'm not surprised that one has no date stamp but they must have used up some 2005 blades when they made the last run.

I have a few 111's with no date stamp and also a beautiful 112 that was sent to me by a very good friend just a week or so ago. You know who you are so THANK YOU AGAIN, David! It's way too dreary and damp here today to get out to take any pictures of it, but maybe next week.

I don't know what a coffer is, but I love the "cabinet" that you seem to be working on in the center of the room. I want it!

You like it, Dave? we can talk about it. But the shipping will be a bit expensive :D ;) :).

I found the word "coffer" for the German word "Truhe" in my dictionary. Seems
that there is a mistake in the book. Other words may be console or cabinet?
One more word to learn. It is always a pity with my horrible school English :grumpy:.

Best, Haebbie

Great knives (and great pictures) are shown here again :) :) .
