This knife caused me to have a great discovery. I have been using "never dull" to clean bolsters. The fumes bother my wifes sinuses so I told her to get
me some brasso next time at the store. They didnt have any but she got me Wrights......wow does that stuff work good. No effort at all. The red tarnish on
this knife wiped away like I was drying water off of it. No more never dull for me.

There are also some Transplanted Elk above Cherokee N.C. and up around Cades Cove Tenn.Near Gatlinburg. Next time you Buck guys have a Smokey Mtn. get together, You won't be far from them at all! Thanks for the pics everyone. Sorry I don't have anything to contribute, But I do enjoy looking every Sunday!

We were up for a funeral earlier this week so on the way home we took my daughter to see them for the 1st time. Hope you enjoy.

Brother Fritz,

You have some stones the size of bowling balls....or your bald head;). Those Elk are wild animals my friend...you should never get that close to them and don't ever turn your back on them. We love you brother and don't want to see any bad judgment photo's of our former Buck brother playing with the bulls. Very cool photo's, but I have seen the not so cool aftermath of such an encounter.

I was biting my lip keeping quite, but since brother JB mentioned it I will chime in.

Everyone has seen the hunting shows of moose, elk, deer, etc., usually during breeding season attacking the hunter as he shoots. Or watched the video shows of animals whacking people, lots of times kids. Now Fritz may have been standing right beside the van sliding door or the photo taken out a rear window with him right behind the open door. But that is not enough to be safe when that close. That was too close in appearance.

Big animals that are use to people are the ones I would worry about the most.

I have watched a deer tear down a good portion of a metal posted wire fence, have seen buffalo tear apart cheap horse trailers. One time when radio collaring buck whitetails we did not use drugs, we caught them in big box traps that had little doors that allowed us to tie up their feet and grab their antlers while protected outside, then we 5 or 6 big guys would pull them outside and on the ground......this 8 pt buck lay quietly as we radio collared him, drew blood and didn't flinch much when we tried freeze branding a letter on his rear with liquid nitrogen, we had his head covered with a jacket, we untied his hooves, we all 5 slowly released our holds one at a time, the buck was calm and never moved, the last guy was going to let go of the hooves, grab the jacket and jump in the back of a PU less than 10 feet away, I was next to last and slowly let go of the antlers and quitely was pulled up in the pickup, that buck caught that last guy with one horn in the pocket with his billfold in mid-air as he was leaping onto the tailgate. And that deer came from a laying down position. After that we used a slipknot on the hooves with a long pull rope and tied a rope on the head cover and ONE guy stood on top of the truck cab and pulled both at the same time.....the speed of that buck was amazing...............please use caution, extra caution in these encounter situations.

First time posting in the Sunday thread, lots of nice Bucks here. I thought I would post a picture of my search and rescue tools, my CSAR with my GSAR. Although the only things I'm usually searching for are beers and my next Buck knife:D

I was thinking the same thing ... DM

jb and 300, I agree with both of you and I was standing right next to the car. The Bennezette/Winslow Hill herd are nearly tame. As you can see by the siding and rhodedendron(sp) I am in a neighborhood. I dont discount the possiblilty of an attach but I tried to get that big bull to just lift his head to get a good pic and he wasnt interested. It is a shame that the herd had grown large enough to have a lottery hunt because they are so used to people that it isnt hunting at all. This area is almost like a unfenced zoo/wildlife park. To my knowlege,(which the notification of multiple elk herds east of the Miss. is somewhat in question) no one down there has ever been victim of attack. I saw a monster a few years ago, that dwarfed that big bull, laying under a big pine, 20 feet awat from 2 guys chainsawing wood in their driveway. I believe the locals gave that big one a name and was like a town pet and some idiot poached him earlier in the fall:grumpy: To make a short story long guys, my stones arent as big as that pic makes em look.......besides I had my Tempest with 154cm Bos ht steel...no worries:D

Did I already post those? If so sorry guys, I couldn't remember if the green one went up. The CF is different, a black clip and an ambidextrous obsidian stud.
