The Sunday Picture Show... (1-2-2011)

You like it, Dave? we can talk about it. But the shipping will be a bit expensive :D ;) :).

I found the word "coffer" for the German word "Truhe" in my dictionary. Seems
that there is a mistake in the book. Other words may be console or cabinet?
One more word to learn. It is always a pity with my horrible school English :grumpy:.

Best, Haebbie

Great knives (and great pictures) are shown here again :) :) .

Yes, I'm afraid that the shipping would be a deal killer! Cabinet or console would ether one be a good word for it I think, and for what it's worth, your English is miles better than my German! You do just fine.

Haebbie, now that's a vise... Your cabinet is looking good... Are you making it for your Buck knives???

How about some more pics of your Work Shop and tools... Can't wait to see that 903 when you get it done... ITE ...

Hi All,

Armand's got another super SPS for us all to enjoy (Thanks Armand). Also thank you to all of the folks who post photo's for all to see and thank you to all who come to enjoy the eye candy!

"Happy New Year"!

Ok first up is a set of Custom Shop knives. A brass frame 110 with Ram's horn, Rivets, and S30V blade. It's little buddy is a NK frame 112 with Ram's horn, and S30V blade.

It's been a few weeks with no Gold from me.....so it's time to fix that today! First is a set of photo's of the 1988 110 issue called "Red Tailed Hawk", there were 750 of these knives made. The LE/SO list said these should have a 4 dot blade, this one has a .110> stamp?

Next is a set of photo's of the 1987 500 issue called "Strutting Turkeys", there were 250 of these knives made. I just love the Aurum art work on gold etch knives.

Lets keep the 'different' theme going. This is the 186 Tiburon, water sports knife.
Cataloged 1999 - 2004. List priced $68.00 to 74.00. Its design was assisted by
Ed Gillette and his signature is on the grip. Ed, was a kayaker in San Diego, CA of some note. Especially sea kayaking, in 1987 he paddled
solo from CA to Hawaii in 64 days. He said if he were to do it again he would fix a better rain tarp and take more food.....300Bucks

Well 300Bucks, it's not a 300 and it's different for sure... I think my son as one but he needs a sheath for his... Cool water sports (tool) knife... ITE ...

That 112 is perfect. I think if they were mine it'd be my new EDC - something about that setup and those the way the scales are make it very appealing to me. Thanks for the pic!

Thanks John, for posting every week for all of us to enjoy your beautiful knives you have... That Gold Etch Red Tailed Hawk and Strutting Turkeys are sweet... Boy I wish Buck would make more nice gold etch knives again... ITE ...

Thanks, Dave, I do my very best. But sometimes I think it is not enough.
Also I'm at war with the English grammar (in war??). But more than four years
with you all in the BF helped to learn.

I thought I made the cabinet for my Buck knives. But it will be used for the shoes .

Armand, won't you open a thread with the request: "How does your workshop looks like?"
In this thread I would post too.

Best,
Haebbie

Great show boys and thanks. I am orginally from St Marys Pa which is the area of transplanted elk. The only elk herd east of the Mississippi(although it is strong enough that they have pulled some to start another herd elsewere here in PA. We were up for a funeral earlier this week so on the way home we took my daughter to see them for the 1st time. Hope you enjoy.

Somebodys field dressing a doe and that cow horn spike doesn't seem to mind . DM
Yeah, if you look to the right, there's a good size bull heading up that way. That is a small whitetail hanging but still a good pic to differentiate sizes.

LOL,you could get that big Bull with your Buck knife Kevin.

I was going to Tom but I missed the season and right in the middle of a neighborhood......too many witnesses:D:p

I decided to get up off my lazy backside and photo a 50 year old barrel-nut set with the leather spacers. Note that the set is numbered "210" and the skinner is a 110.
