The Sunday Picture Show... (1-22-2017) ... OLD SHOW...

Have we learned anything today class. Be More Polite and less self absorbed
I've learned the more obscure a word someone uses, the more of a D Bag they usually are, I haven't had an infraction for a while and I think this guy is the only one who needs a lesson here.......sorry I couldn't post yesterday, computer issues....see you all next weeks

Hey SteelheadBully,
Sorry to hear about your computer problems. Maybe we could have had a conversation. from one Dbag to another. If you don't like people who use superfluous verbage, it's time for you to learn. you'll never make Mensa. There is no reason for infractions when the truth is told. If you forget look at your forum name. No Fear. Mr Bully.

Says the guy who can't use proper punctuation.

MT_Pokt,
This has nothing to do with punctuation. I 'll be the first to admit my typing needs to improve. Have you heard of a spelling bee, everyone here seems only to associate with the gold member to gold member that is why I believe the members here are not so friendly. I've posted here for approx. 2 months or more and was never welcomed except for Haebbie. I can count on one hand the number of times that anything I posted was mentioned. I wanted to be a part and could not understand how to post pictures and finally got to understand that and I was really happy, so I could show my fathers and also my collection and I did not get any response. When Bear Claw got the 184 it went on for two pages for one of the latest 184's why is that. I showed first version of buck 110 in mint condition and nary a peep. I just wanted to stir the pot and see if the members would make any mention of what I said. It sure did happen. Why wasn't anything said about the comments or knives that I posted. It seem like there is a certain clique that only chat between themselves, and omit the newcomers. No worries I still will post, not as often but my interest in Buck Knives comes from my father and that means more to me than being called names and showing what he has amassed. Haebbie asked why I didn't show these knives before now and I was mark on, because they're not appreciated or they are over the top to comment on. I am just guessing I really don't know why. I did not want this to continue so that is the reason for the explanation.

love that hammer on blade logo on the box. says it all doesnt it.;)

some really great blades y'all.

yep that looks like a rat, not a mouse. rats are huge down here. old citrus rats......my wifes cat brings ones back almost as big as it sometimes.

lastly gentlemen no need for all that. lets shake hands and be friends again. just knives and collecting. nothing more nothing less.

Thank You jbmonkey,
I would like that very much. I may have acted foolishly, please accept my apology to all the members I offended. You are very right it is just about knives and collecting nothing more.
My sincere regrets,
MICHAEL5135

Internet forums are impersonal, a person's meaning and intent can be easily mistaken. If we were in the living room, with each other, having these discussions, showing our knives I doubt that we would have the type of situation we have here...at least I hope we wouldn't. Preston

Very true.

No harm done. Nice knives everyone.

Armand - Please accept my apologies from all of us here on the Buck forum for some of us being disrespectful of your time and effort each and every week to bring to us this great thread you have unselfishly created for us all to
look forward every Sunday. Anybody who uses this thread should be respectful and appreciative of each and every participant who takes the time out of their Sunday to post here for all of us to enjoy.
The people who post to this thread are some of the best individuals you will ever find and any attack on any single one can be taken as an attack on us all sometimes. Buck knives of every range can be found here as well as tons of great information and all are ready to help each other find out what they need information on at the drop of a hat expecting nothing in return.

We all need to be thankful and respectful of Armands time and effort if nothing else so please do not make his thread and our thread into something it is not.

This is Sunday Photo thread but its always time for a moderator moment.

I started on this forum in a era where 110 and 100's ruled the roost. I was a lonely 300 guy, people would even say on the forum who would want a knife not really made by Buck. I read other forums and other websites and learned to post photos with little help, I learned to light photos in the house using WM type equipment. I was a lone ranger but did it for me to see it not so much for any atta-boys I might receive. See any comments on my current photos above ? I post because I can.
In the 300 world the tide is turned and I am a rear sled dog in the slipjoint race.

Post for yourself because you enjoy doing it. If you need help, ask a question I have never seen one of those threads go unanswered. Lately I post photos at the whim of wacky, slow running, patience stretching Photobucket.......my patience has grown too thin I am going to need to learn to do it well using another method....so back to school.

Lastly just for a FYI because someone mentioned 'infractions'...I have never given an infraction to a Buck forum member, you might had me honk my horn for your bad driving but I now make an effort to take issues to the Private Mail section as I hope you will do as much as possible.

Hello 300 Bucks,
I have made my apologies and hope that you have read them. Like I have mentioned I will still post here and as you have said maybe just do it for myself. I too had to learn to post pictures here pretty much on my own and I feel an accomplishment in doing so, and thought that posting pics would draw me close to new friends, which didn't happen. I love my collection because the very early knives were my fathers and I try to continue in his footsteps. I consider your advice helpful and will remember what you have said.
Thank You Very Much,
MICHAEL5135

don't want to ruin the picture show thread on this off topic, but i think we can all move forward without hard feelings. i don't see why we can't. sure hope i'm not wrong. i personally took no offense to any thing anyone posted as i was enjoying the pics and info, etc...... but i appreciate the apology even though it wasn't for me. says a lot and back to the show.........even though it's monday now....:)

Tony...you have some nice JAG Customs there!

Here are mine; ( I have since sold the camo one and the brass one in the photo of the four together)
The carbon fiber slim liner lock in the top photo and the nickel silver frame with 50th blade in the bottom photo are in my Buck 110 50th Anniversary collection.

Thanks Armand for another great SPS!!

For today's donation I have a Buck 560 with black handles and a gold blade.

I see you are on-line at the moment. Does the black handle have a texture to it. I don't recall I've seen a finish like that on a 560. /Roger

Roger - Yes it does have a texture. This was a sample or prototype from a 30+ year retired employee. I do not believe I have seen another with black textured finish either.

I had a black textured 560, but I think it was one Joe Houser bought from me a while back.
