The Sunday Picture Show... (1-26-2014)

I have a little time, so I pulled up another archived photo on my cell phone.
This picture shows the size difference of the Chinese Buck scissors on top and the smaller Buck scissors made in Japan.
I use both pair quite a bit, but prefer the larger one made in China.

I was camped two nights ago where hogs had rooted up a lot of the ground.
The next morning I got to a breakfast place on my walk and just had to go in for eggs, bacon and coffee.
Well. these next two photos are of a hog a guy got locally.
Sure wouldn't want to see that bugger just outside my tent!! :)

I've had these knives for 2 weeks now and just opened the box yesterday
I must be slipping or something but here they are , I really do like the blade
stamp on these 50th anniversary knives .

I gave a friend his choice of either knife he took the finger groove now I need another one .

Mark does that HOG = a square yard , man that is a big pig .

This picture is just too good not to share. Found it browsing the news. The toad just ate a bat.

This is my first contribution to the SPS. A 110 with a factory mirror polished Damascus blade.

SWBKT, Welcome to the SPS... That's a Great first knife... We hope to see more of your knives every Sunday...

Thanks for sharing your 110 on the SPS... ITE ...

Comments from a wildlife biologist. I think the story of that one and a few other giant hogs are on U-tube.

For viewers without southern US rural living or hunting experience - while, this may be considered a trophy, wild hogs in the southern US are not native animals, they were released by folks for hunting. Especially back in the SE where people from the more wild part of Europe immigrated and settled, they had a boar hunting tradition many wish they would have left both on the otherside of the ocean. These super giants have domestic genes and lots of the wild hogs look like rough farm hogs rather than EU wild boar. My neighbors across the state line will give me trouble as their Razorback (U of A) sports teams have typical SEC fanatic following.

Wild hogs are terror to all ground nesting and birthing animals, will eat any creature, egg or plant. They root and destroy lots of farm crops and are murder on quail and turkey nests.

As you can see I have a low opinion of and worked hard keeping them out of my area. But alas, they have moved north. My nephew shoots them and I eat them out of spite. They may taste good but I think of how I would rather enjoy good bird hunting.

Thanks, I needed to rant after being told I was long winded in another thread by someone across the pond.....Ha..... an tuff toenails to them. 300

321 Bird Knife. A gentlemen would remove the entrails of a quail or other game bird with the hook. I grew up using my finger.

ITE, that's a real show stopper right there! What a great looking 532
BTW, You seem to be on a green kick today ;)

It has been a great SPS!!! Thanks everyone. :)

One more out of my archives....a NIB 1960's 101 stone and box.

So, I used some of those parts.from my earlier post to make this.
I call it the 703 Coltsfoot :) (needs a visit to the buffing wheel but otherwise done)

Hello one and all! Sorry I'm so late to the show but we've been visiting some friends today. Too many great Bucks to comment, except to say, Tony you done it to me again man! :)

I have a couple contributions today. The first is this Smooth Asian WB 110 with Damascus blade. My lack of photography skills doesn't do the scales justice. They are perfect.

The second is this double-dash 110, with some very unique scales. Kind of ivory macassar. If anyone knows what they are I'd welcome the info.
