The Sunday Picture Show... (1-30-2011)

Hey Haebbie, No rush. I have always wanted to put a lanyard hole in a 560 but couldn't find a place to drill without running into an important part of the knife. I can put a lanyard hole (or enlarge one) in a Bucklite because it has no rivets on the back of the handle.

Fellas,

Here is my knife Ive carried on every hunt of mine the last 10 years. As well as most days throughout the summer fishing / working ect. Its been from Northern Canada to Central Florida and most places between with me on outdoor adventures. The good Lord only knows how much game this knife has cleaned and processed in that time. I havent taken the best care of it through the years, but thats why I love it. Its a tough as nails knife and always takes care of me when I need it to ! Its been a special knife to me for sure. Here are some pictures. Buck110 . Enjoy. -Gary

Always nice to hear about the users, Gary!!

Why is it serialized? What is its age?

Thanks Pack Rat !

The knife was given to me by my dad. He recieved it as a gift at a work Convention where I assume a boatload were given out as gifts. Thats why its serialized there on the blade. I checked the date symbol to the right of the "Buck110" and it matched with the year 2000? So, its definatly not as old as some of the knifes posted on here but has seen some use over those ten years anyway.

Ones from our Dads are the special ones. One of these days you will pass it along.

Many here collect the various serialized knives. Will be interested in what that one is.

Great photos and knives guys . Stelth, your 110 has the wrong handle for that blade .
Care to tell us about it as it looks to be a 3 liner . Thanks . DM

HK & Tele. those are great looking knives . Ima, your is a White Knight not the Lady Buck . Great photos guys . Thanks . DM

I always call it that cause my testosterone wont allow me to have a lady buck:o, but how can you tell for sure? It didnt come with the box.

Ima, When this model first came out Buck utilized the old English script stamp on them and it was these first year or so knives that were named 'Lady Buck' . Later, Buck changed the name so men would buy it and at the time of year dates the stamp changed as well to the block style and its for certain these are the White Knights . DM

I bought it that way from Oshman's Sporting goods in about 1988. It was never rebladed.

I noticed and like yours as well. I too like the image of playing cards...there's something cool about it to me.

Stelth, A 3 liner blade w/no dots or year mark on a 3 pin frame thats radiused .? That frame did not come out until the 3 dots (rare) 4 dots more common . That blade was mfg. before the 2 dots and is of 440C steel and fully radiused...? DM

It kinda of has dots...they're just very faint.

That's the best I could do with a close up.(after about 20 tries)

Could it be like the 2007's that came without a date stamp for a short period? The grind and nail nic dont match my 3 liner.

I appreciate you guys trying to ID it because I was curious about it. When I bought it 22 or 23 years ago I had no clue the dots, dashes, or date marks even existed. Had I known I would have picked up a few more 110s, 112s, etc.

Yeah if we only knew then:(
