Good Sunday morning everyone!

Thank you Armand...you get the SPS up and running each week just like clockwork.:thumbup::thumbup:
Nice 106...use it yet? ;)

I have no Buck 106s anymore, so I'll show what I can.

This is one I picked up about a month ago off the bay.
It's got a home with my 50th Anniversary 110 collection.
A 1972-1973 forged 110 frame re-bladed with a 50th Anniversary stamped blade.

I like it! :)

I've had the large Buck 885 for a number of years.
I've been looking for a small 886 for about two years and finally found one....not for me though.
A backpacking friend has been using a small 886 almost exclusively since the only year they were made in 2002.
He is now 75 years old and has pretty much worn his old one out, so he will have a good 886 to use the rest of his life. :)
The 886 now resides in Albany, GA and will see daily use.

Most of you have probably seen my EDC Buck 110 with a 5160 blade pictured below.

Well, I was never real happy with the way the ram's horn looked on it, so I took it into the shop two days ago and sanded it until it was more to my liking.

I love carrying this knife! :)

Thank you, Stumps :) Samt to you and all the other buckaholics and especially for Armand
who keeps the show going on. Thank you!!

Haebbie

I think this is my only David Yellowhorse knife.

A couple of photos from a backpacking trip when I walked the John Muir Trail in California.

Happy SPS everyone!

No 106s in my pile... yet! Been eyeballing the Compadre for some time though. Maybe one will make my pack this spring when we start taking the Scouts camping again.

Until then, how about this local find from "that guy's list" for about the cost of a tank of gas ($1.60/gal here):

I found Alcoa 110s on the BO lists, but no 560s. I can't decide whether to keep it, or not.

That lake photo from the John Muir trail is beautiful! I don't own a Buck 106, but need to get one eventually. Habbie, that is a mighty nice collection of Buck 106's you have there. OH

Some great pictures so far:thumbup::thumbup:

Here are some old pics of a 106 with some history

A couple outdoor pics from a past trip to WY

I just got a new 106, new to me, almost as old as me.....but no pictures yet. Maybe later today!!!

Wow! Some sweet Bucks on here already!

These are the only two 106's I have. A 2-line black micarta, and a 2-line burgundy micarta:

WOW ITE that 106 even has a buffalo on it. Not by coincidence I'll betcha. You now how to start with a bang! Well done.

Excellent photos and cutlery/axes gentlemen. Thank you.

Evil Eye Earl, Larry Oden and ITE have been big help in seeing additions to Buck axes finding their way into my neck of the woods. Many thanks for your mentoring. Many thanks.

I meant to have the beloved Father-In-Law's fire axe, he carried it as a forest service lookout during Summers in the Cascades, in these shots but forgot despite the fact that it was four feet away in a place of honor on the fireplace....

Off topic: BTW, the folding axe, just in front of the vintage "Buck Knives The Edge For Life" sign, is a prototype made in Bridgeport Connecticut just before the collapse of Geo. Schrade (1950's) as they scrambled to replace their newly made illegal switchblades. It is one of two known to exist today. The other one is also in Oregon.

Stumps,

I think you made an improvement with your ram's horn.

Steelhead,

Squaretop is one of my favorite climbs in the Wind Rivers. It's a pretty easy climb but the view from on top is spectacular.

Great show so far today with lots of time left and thanks Armand for getting the SPS going for us all to enjoy.

Here is a 106 that I picked up from the forum awhile back.

Armand and Steve - I had a few trees fall down about a month ago when we had a big wind storm. You will have to bring over your 106's and we will make them into kindling.

Here is a Buck 400CB with stag handles, nickel silver guard, and a BG-42 blade. Serial number 095/500. Comes in a wooden glass top display case.

You would think if there was 500 of these made you would see them more often. I have read that there were no where near that many actually produced.

Thank You ITE for another show. A while back we did a thread for knives with the Idaho stamp. Here is the picture of mine.
