About half of those had mirror polish, while the other half did not. If I'm not mistaken, there were fewer of the satin. I do not know if all of the COAs state "mirror".

I ran across a dealer about 5 or 6 years ago who had five of these knives. When I asked about the difference in the standard finished blades and the mirror finished blades he claimed Buck had made the mistake. He said Ozark had ordered all with mirror finish and when the first batch was delivered he said they had a satin or standard finish. He also claimed it was the first 100 out of the 250 ordered.I was trying to determine the finish on Chile's knife to try and determine the number which were standard compared to the mirror.

It's still a mystery.LOL

A nice 2-dot 110 mid/late 70's . Was listed as yellow micarta but I am not sure. Slick and hard surface and no evidence of fabric when viewed under magnification on edge. Yellowed paper micarta perhaps but still not the same appearance of my 124 with paper micarta. Finely finished, not mirror polished but more so than standard. Notice the rocker rivet is hidden.

Roger take a piece of 2000 or 3000 grit sandpaper and lightly sand a bit on the edge of the handle scale than smell it. If it is ivory it will have an almost rotten odor while micarta does not.
The sand scratches of that grit of sand paper polishes out easily.

An portion of my "collection" (accumulation?) of 110's.

Not shown: Plain Walmart 50th Anniversary, 2005 standard production, and circa 1974 (2 small cover pins) 2 Dot that a prior owner abused enough to remove a large chip from the mark side ebony cover, and introduced it to I believe a Dremel with a 1/8 diameter diamond bit to "engrave" some bull sh-- on all the bolsters, broke the tip and re-profiled the blade. (Fear not! I'll never post a picture of it. I don't wanna make anyone depressed or ill.) (yeah, I know ... the wrong sheath is enough to make some depressed and/or ill. Sorry about that.)

From back, wrong* to right:

Standard Production from 2015, with generic nylon multi-tool sheath.

August, 2020 web Special, in the SK Blades "The Gentleman" distressed leather sheath.

SK Blades "The Gentleman" in the August, 2020 Web Special not distressed leather sheath.

SK Blades "Smoke Jumper" from 2018 in standard Buck Nylon sheath.

March or May 2018 110LT "The Racer" Web Special in the proper sheath.

* if it's not "right", it's gotta be "wrong" ... right?

jb4570 jb4570 That white handle 877 looks just like mine. :)
How do you like it?

Looking good. Thanks for sharing.

Well fishunter, I like the way it fits my hand and the fact it was made in USA! The price point can't be beat. What do you use your 877 for?

Nice shot of some of your collection, I see two of those that match some in my pile!

Mainly kitchen duty before my stroke. I haven't had cook a meal (nor been allowed to) since. :( (on the "plus side" I haven't had to buy groceries, either. :) )

I did have the now late local leathersmith a few months before he went late, make me a triple sash type sheath to carry the 877 behind the belt, a Buck 110/112 or 2 blade slipjoint folding hunter, and a large 4 inch and/or longer stockman/trapper/moose/sunfish one above the other in front of the belt, for the days I wanted to EDC it.

Haven't been able to take it hunting/fishing/camping yet. The way things are looking, there is an "excellent" chance/probability I never will. :(
Been so long since I've been able to shoot my bow, I've less than zero doubt I'll need to work my way back up to the maximum draw weight again. :(
If I ever do go hunting again before then, I can use my TenPoint Titan SS crossbow, or .54 caliber muzzleloader. :)
