done. sorry for poor pic quality and size cant get anything loaded without shrinking it to death. too bad buck doesnt have a chainsaw......![]()
[/QUOTE]Preston - Buck did a series of 110's with 4 different inserts. Quail, Scorpion, Kachina doll, and one other that eludes me right now.
Your 192 has the same inlay as the Kachina doll 110. I have heard rumors that David Yellowhorse did the inlays but I am not sure about that.
I have not seen the inlays done on the 192. They also did similar inlays on a series of 119's in 4 different styles.
A 1995 192 recently acquired(thanks Craig)

Did an image search for this inlay, with no success. If anyone has seen another, sure would like to know about it, thanks.

Thanks James and John, the knowledge here and the willingness to share is amazing! Thanks jb4570 - That's correct. I have the 3 I mentioned and still need the Thunderbird. I am sure one will pop up someday.
That's a great story. Did you sell it? I love the gun. It's a huge handful of boomI loved my Super Alaskan. Discovered this model I think it was 2011, I was getting ready to go on my trip to Yellowstone, Teton, Jasper and Banff and wanted a carry for my backbacking trips. I REFUSED to pay retail which at the time was $900+ but tracked one down in a pawnshop for $250. Honestly what sold me was the Ruger made holster for it. Nothing like the looks you get with a .44 strapped to your chest in a rig with a big red Right emblem.Tell you what that hogue gel backstrap grip makes more difference then you think. I swapped in a set of wood but quickly put the Hogue back on
.....sorry for the derailment that gun brought back some very fond memories. Thanks
Makael for posting that.
