What's about a 908 with mop handle, one of 300, do you know it has been sold for? And what's the worth today? I was asked if I am interested.

Hi Herbert,

The 908 HD Black Hills 50th tattooed blade with hollow wood handle 3000 were issued in 1989, issue price was $300 and sell today for $200 to $300. The 908 HD Black Hills Ultra With gold plated etched blade and MOP handles was issued in 1990, 301 of them were made at an issue price of $1000. I have not been following this issue Herbert so I can't tell you what the current asking price is. The handle is slab sided pearl with the top and bottom some kind of skin, maybe stingray skin (I don't remember). Please make note that this is the same blade as the 184's, they are just don't have the saw cuts on the blade.

I found a 908 black hills tattooed blade years ago fishing the bay. It had a hand carved broom handle (no kidding). I sent it off to Leroy and he put this handle on it for me.

Thanks a lot, JB for your help. It is hard for me to decide take it or not. I am not in the Harley Davison knifes. But I think about it.

Is that true? A broom handle, that thing for cleaning out the floor? Too funny but Leroy did s good job. I have a 908 with the buck master blade and without any etchings. I think it is an overrun, only sold in Germany.
