The Sunday Picture Show... (11-29-2020) . . . (OLD Show Look at the DATE...)

I think the silver was referring to the classic aluminum model?
David has made mention before that silver as in .925 sterling was to be used, but those brothers from Texas i think tried to corner the silver market and drove the prices up way high for a bit and it changed what Buck did. I'm paraphrasing the history of it, but the topic has been posted before.

too bad too as sterling ones would have been quite neat, as I like silver.

In Bucks special project lists there is 3 sets of 3 folders that have a sterling silver frame including a 112..The name Birmingham or Birmington comes to mind in connection with that project and my poor memory also has a blade etch? There was also a "Silver Dollar" 300 series Trapper that came with a US Silver Eagle along with a small silver emblem in the handle. No doubt there were a few old Custom shop Bucks that incorporated Silver also..
I too wish Buck would use real Silver in a fancy LE .Silver is $22.70 a oz now and it wouldn't take much per knife to use it. When $300.00 or more for a LE is not uncommon..why not?

Happy Sunday picture show everyone. I apologize for the poor lighting tonight. I thought this would be a good opportunity to show my collection. Hopefully it will spark the imagination of a collector getting into the hobby.
Spectacular, thanks for showing it.

Clint, a handful of 525 have been made with silver scales. If you like I can post a photo.

I've been chasing Commemorative Silver dollars as gifts for the Family this Christmas instead of Walmart junk and hopefully get the kids and grandchildren interested in coin collecting (The hobby of Kings)..I was talking to Armand last night about my new Damascus 112 and sent him this picture..20201129_183706.jpg

Here is the 1993 "Silver Buck", a model 312 Trapper. I do not know how many were made, I did not see it in the SP list.
Sorry for the bad picture by seller from when I purchased it almost a decade ago. I could not find it this morning to take better ones.
