The Sunday Picture Show... (11-7-2010)

Since there are several knives and guns in this SPS, I thought I would add one additional one. I'll also post this in the knife and gun club thread.

This is a Mod. 42 Winchester High Grade Limited Edition (859 made) and a couple of 124s.

Maybe we could start a Buck knife and guitar club. Here's my (wannabe) bluesman on a budget rig with a 119 to top thing off, because every bluesman (wannabe or otherwise) needs a good knife.

Hi All,

Wow great photo's, keep them coming!

As there have been a few Mentor's posted this week I felt it fitting to post these. The deer cut out has Sambar stag, the Elk cut out has sun bleached Elk stag. I've been looking for a third 475 stag to add to the bunch, very elusive and hard to find so far.

Darn, Tele. a model 42 Winchester with exibition grade French walnut !! You found a melamine and yellow delrin '124' thats great ! Good stuff guys, I'll look at the rest of the photos . DM

A little late but still participating. I asked a while back what knives would be good to give my kids hoping to find them with their birth year date stamps. I think it was Imafritz who suggested 500s. It didn't take long and I found a 2000 for my daughter and a 2002 for my son. They're both very clean, but the 2000 came out looking a little beat up in this pic. Oh well, still nice knives. Not sure when I'll give to them, but they seem to be happy hanging in the safe for now.

Flatlander:

I wish I could tell you a lot about the knife. I can say it is extremely rare. I know that another exists in EEEs collection, but those are the only two that have ever been revealed. I spoke to Joe about it and he agrees that it is a factory knife but cannot say when it was made, except that it is pre 86. There are no records at BUCK that Joe could find. It is certainly much rarer than even my teflon spacer Nemos. Probably, it would the very last of my knives to go if I ever liquidated my collection and I might just try to take it with me when I died.

David:

Not yellow delrin. It is, unbelievably, yellow MICARTA.

Nice Dukes Casey, I think that was the right choice. If you send those to Buck, for $6.95 apiece, they will buff and sharpen them back to brand new condition without a problem since they are in great shape already.
