I think I read somewhere it was made for the europian market only. There was a reason but I can't remember why.
Pete, I think you're right. There are some European countries that lock backs are illegal. So it may be legit. Preston
 
No knife today but something I thought was cool. Shared on the official Buck instagram, and I know lots of guys don’t have accounts over there. From the 1948 catalog. The comments on photos two and three are from whoever runs the account. Great SPS guys, lots of nice knives and some cool sets today :thumbsup:

If you look good at the last knife on the last page - the 112 Skinner, you can sure tell where the new Buck 212 came from. Man oh man, those were the days! OH
