The Sunday Picture Show... (3-25-2012)

Hello everyone, it's time again for the Sunday Picture Show... This Show is for everyone... So feel free to talk about and compliment each other about there new or old Buck knives... We all like to show are new or older knives that we just got or had for years... So everyone please share and post a picture of one of your Buck knives or a picture with lots of Buck knives... Fixed blades or folders... Post all the pictures you want, but save some for next Sundays Picture Show... Post a new picture or a old picture... If you only have one Buck knife or alot of Buck knives... Just take some new Picture of it or of them and just get creative and make Buck Proud.... Thanks, ItsTooEarly ...

Here's my pictures for the SPS... This Sunday I got 882 Tarani Buck/Strider Tactical Knife with a ATS-34 BOS Blade with G10 handles... The box as a date of 2004 but the blade as a T on it... So is it a 2003??? I got this one from my Daughter-in-law in a trade... I'm not in to Tactical Knives... So this one will be for sale on the forum soon...

Thanks for looking and enjoy the show... ITE

I'm not absolutely sure that it is correct place for these photos but it is a cool thing:

It is a copy (I think it is a fake copy from China ) of Buck Vanguard 192 .The price was 800 Russian rubles = 27 USD.
I made these photos at the exibition "Hunting and Fishing" 24 of March 2012 , in Saint-Petersburg,Russian Federation.
That knife has a Scorpion symbol and the word "Explorer" on it.
The seller said that it is made at the Russian plant as a copy , and it is made of 440C steel (I'm not sure, because 440C isn't a Russian steel, imported for Russian plants).
Anyway Vanguard 192 has started to become the very copying knife in many countries.

Thanks ITE for getting another SPS up and running. Looking forward to checking in throughout the day!

Thanks also for the help I received the other day from a number of forum members here on figuring out why I wasn't able to post pictures anymore. Got that problem fixed! :)

Here's my user and safe queen SB4's. The user is the one with the rivets....the dirty one. I never noticed the difference in the handles before I took these pictures. I think I like the smoother one better.

ITE, sorry not to see you at the show this year. There was quite a nice group there yesterday. A few pictures before getting ready to go back this morning. There are lots more, but not enough time to show them all this morning.

My first ever displays:

David Yellowhorse and Wild Bill Cody having a deep discussion:

Wild Bill giving a demo of how he cuts out the feathers, deerheads, etc. to put on the handles. He was kind enough to give me one of the demo pieces.

Leroy Remer also giving some input about the inlays:

Beautiful knives guys! EXCELLENT pictures BTW!!! Thanks for sharing!

Looks like everyone is having a good time at the knife show Dave!!

Here's my last remaining Strider:

I just don't carry these like I used to and sold off the rest. My most "tactical knife now would have to be a Vantage. :D

Good show guys! In keeping with the strider theme, I wondered if anyone saw this beauty?

It's a Tactical, Gentlemans knife sort of mix I think. I'd like to try a Vantage like it, or in Ironwood perhaps.
I've just rescaled a Vantage with CF, and rebladed a Barehead Mammoth Tusk/G-10 with one of Grands blades. A couple of fun projects.

Wow you have a nice scrimshaw collection/display Dave.
Good show guys!

I thought because it was a real nice day, I needed an outside picture. What could be better a Buck knife and a German beer mug on a sunny Sunday.

Stumps the handle texture is different on yours because the 889 has Taccom (reinforced plastic) and the 882 has G10. The 882 is held together by screws and the 889 by rivets.

So would that make ITE's Buck/Strider in the first picture an 889 with the wrong box??

I'm trying to learn a little about these. I have a few and never really understood the model numbers. I bought the one that you are saying is an 889 used, so I don't know. The other was new, but has a 2004 stamp in a 2007 manufacture dated box.

I do know that I like my 880 best of all the Buck/Strider folders I have. :)

By the way....nice pictures!!

Longbow, so do I have the wrong box for mine, like stumps asked??? I got mine from a ex-Buck-employee,
well my Daughter-in-law did... Thanks, ITE ...
