The Sunday Picture Show... (3-27-2011)

Nice one Dave! I don't remember ever seeing that model!
Very tastefully done!

Heres my pics, a few user fillets. (A tad of fixed blade goodness for tele ;) )
I love these 123, and 125 fillets. They grip was great even when wet! Oh, and by looking at the blades..... yes, I dont catch alot of fish :D

I gave a set of these to my brother, who is a big fisherman. He loves them. Nice photo.

Haebbie, A nice 57 commemorative, HK, nice knives--do you like stag? Dave, that 525 is beautiful and the box ! I've not seen those . Great 'Mates' . Thanks, guys . DM

Hi All,

Another super SPS all of the photo's are great, thanks to all for posting them.

Jerry, you always post stuff that makes my heart beat a little faster;)

Here is a gold etch 501 for todays SPS. The Buck bandit Racoon was issued in 1984 for SMKW, there were 250 of these made.

I thank you for the nod in the fixed blade department. Here is the final version of the "...Mate" series---the 127. For comparison, I show it alongside the early 120, which is a little longer than the later 120s.

Now thats SWEET Tele! A YELLOW one! I never really had a need for a 127, that is a huge knife! It would be tough to use on the (3-4) 7" bluegills I catch LOL
I wonder why Buck chose yellow for those models, and how many were made?

Thanks jb. Of all the gold etch blades, I think this is one of the best.

This is turning out to be another great Sunday show everyone. Thank's one and all for their contributions. You all have knives to be proud of.

Here's the second and the only other one of the Sterling series Gents that I have. It resembles the 515 Classic IV from that series but there are a number of differences.

Just in case viewers of this thread aren't following the other one, I thought I'd post these here also. It's another of Leesa Martin's creations done for my good friend, Russ Donoghue (HonkerRusty) as a gift for his wife. It has as it's subject, Buddy, their very special little friend and is done on a camel bone 500.

There will be more pictures when Rusty actually has the knife, as it's on it's way to him right now.

Just a rough and tough, good old workin' knife!!

This is a '94 model and I think they quit making them a couple years after that.

Wish I'd bought a batch of them.

Guys the yellow handles were an option for the 'Mates' as were black sheaths . See the 1985 Dealer catalog . Tele, notice the English script stamp on Postfalls 125 . Thats an early one and none of the others had that stamp. Plumber one has to really look at your 526 to notice its not a 515 --very handsome even the box. HK, I love your 107 & 124. JB, Your Bandit is first class Aurum. 2Shoes, that looks to be a 95--119 in good shape.
Thanks guys for your fine posts. DM

Another great SPS, nice variety of Bucks. I just had this 1 come up from Texas, nice Group 10 w/ Ebony handle...and a Frank Richtig knife that was laying on the bench.
