The Sunday Picture Show... (4-13-2014)

So here is a matching pair :)
The kind man known as Oregon shared the one with the lanyard with me.
The other one is a result of entering a giveaway :)
I did NOT win the giveaway, but the generous fellow running it liked my photo of my Buck edc knives.
He felt that should be rewarded too!
So the second one now lives in my Gal's purse!! She is being assimilated into the Buck edc team hahahahahaha

Here is a typical sunset around here :)

Great show guys. Nothing new to show here. Took a break while working in the yard. Seeing most of the snow is gone

Nice picture show, guys. As always, good to see the nice Buck stuff. I worked in the leather shop most of yesterday and that really got me back into the Buck mood. The only relief I could find was to order my very first custom shop 110. The time was right and now I wait with baited breath.

What a great show today, lots of great looking Bucks. For my donation is a 2007 (chicken foot) 192 Vanguard.

No new knives, but new showcase

Very nice pictures today from everyone. I especially like that Vanguard from edbeau. This week it's back to the 301 for me.

The thing I didn't like was there was no walk and talk that's normal to the 110. Mine had to be pushed to close the blade on both of them.
I did oil up the blades and one is working better, but the other one still requires me to manually push the blade to the closed position.

Stumps,

I agree that the action is pretty stiff; however, I added a drop or two of oil and then worked the blade back and forth, and now it's working pretty well. The stiffest action seems to be releasing the lockbar to close the knife, but that is loosening up, also. I don't mind a few minutes working on the knife. It is better than having a loose blade. Overall, I'm really happy with the Federal. I especially like the feel of the smaller frame.

Desert Chris, those are the only available in Canada Bucklites right? Looks like they are red stickered now at the Big Box store which I believe means discontinued! I bought one there last week at half price. I should grab the other two there before they're gone for good!

Here's some knives I mangled recently: a couple Honey Jigged 500 series and most recent third from front is a 5460 year old Stabilized Bog Oak with a mirror polished blade .063" brass liners and black oxide hardware.

Yep, both from Canada. I was very fortunate to have them come my way.

Your work is awesome! I really really liked the slim 110 Stumps posted a while back with the camo scales!

Nice 110 with nickel silver bolsters and engraved rosewood handle. A 2001 special project for Gander Mountain.

Found this little box turtle sitting by the corner of the barn this morning.

You must have embarrassed that turtle something awful DSS. Just look at that red face.

Mastodon, no nail nick, mirror polished 154CM, Chuck's signature from 2002, from the BCCI table at OKCA 2014 today:

Finally, a hiking companion I can out pace!

Great score on that 532 Oregon, I was eyeing that one myself but could only talk Bruce down to $125 and I only wanted to pay $100 so I passed (just kidding).

I sure like those Mammoth Ivory scales with the mirror polishing.
