The Sunday Picture Show... (4-13-2014)

You must have embarrassed that turtle something awful DSS. Just look at that red face.

Mastodon, no nail nick, mirror polished 154CM, Chuck's signature from 2002, from the BCCI table at OKCA 2014 today:

Is that a 532 or a 531?? The handle looks larger like it's a 531. Nice score either way though!!:thumbup:

PS….you know which thread you should post this beauty in when you get a chance. :)

Mine is #68/250, but with no 154CM - is it deferent 532 model?

Hi James, Do both of the blades on that double 186 lock? Are both blades exchangers?

Hi James, Do both of the blades on that double 186 lock? Are both blades exchangers?

Both blades do lock just like a regular version and the blades are non removable like a Buck Selector is. But it is a take-apart so it could be taken apart and both blades removed although I was advised not to ever do so because it is a very difficult one to get back together and working correctly.

Interesting, is there a liner between the two blades? If one were to make a double wide 186, the only missing part would be a liner and some long #5-40TPI screws.

Yes there is a liner. I am guessing you would need a liner, backspring and lockbar and the piece that at the end of the bolster that the backspring goes into as well as pins, washers, bushings etc. Not sure the name of all the parts.

Here are a couple of pictures.

So one would need 2 blades, 2 blade bushings, 2 springs, 2 spring holders, 2 rockers, 2 rocker bushings, 4 extra length screws, and a custom liner. I would be inclined to skinny up the Ti side plates before adding a second blade and liner. A liner would be a piece of cake to cut out on a band saw. Just what I need, another project. Thanks James!

Yes, the first Selectors, model 428 with two blades had a liner between the blades as well. (1989). DM

ItsTooearly, I wonder is that why there is a real estate sign on the front lawn? LOL Here in the early 1970's Wild Turkeys had been wiped out from overhunting the last few centuries. So in the early 1970's that started selling TURKEY STAMPS to re-introduce Turkeys to Massachusetts in the wild.....its been a HUGE SUCCESS! Now home owners want the police an animal control to remove them from their porches an yards.....LOL an to stop attacking the MAIL MAN an chasing his truck! LOL I frequently see a [clutch] in my neighborhood running for their lives from our cars. I've counted at least 37 on my hill in the back yard at one time.....the funny thing is thrwoing them apples/drops we get from the Orchard to them. Their little heads can bearly pick the apples up! an they run from all the others to devulge the tasty little treat. LOL Great Pic! thanks for the sharing.....
