My last post here today for the last Buck 110 I received this past week.
This was a very inexpensive 110 that I decided to play with yesterday.
I took it apart first.
Then thinned out the bolsters some.
Started putting it back together.
Although not what I wanted to use on the handle, the thin piece of white G-10 is what I had, so I used G-Flex and let it sit about 9 hours.....
It got late last night and I just wanted to take some pictures and go to bed.
I REALLY need to finish polishing the bolsters to make it look right.
Also, I didn't get the blade pin peened well, but the knife works excellent. I may take the blade pin out when I go back to finish the bolsters and put a new pin in.
It turned into a slimmed down, front right pocket Buck 110.
The weight savings were less than I thought they might be. It went from 7.3 oz to 5.1 oz.
Kind of a fun project for a lazy Saturday.

Another 2016 Limited edition. A Duke 500 with MOP scales, polished stainless bolsters and a mirror polished 440C blade. I can't recall Buck using 440C on any other knife in recent times. Comes in a black LE box and a leather slipper. Again... a laser etching on the blade of an expensive knife.
