FROM the STONE AGE to the STEEL AGE.....BUCK 113 A LOOK into the PAST to SHAPE OUR FUTURE
My new procurement for this year a Buck 113 and I can't wait to field test this coming Deer Season.

Its totally amazing the shape of the SPEAR HEAD next to the Shape of the BUCK BLADE.....The local native americans had a great design and its stood for
how many centuries? or should I say thousands of years.

* I BUILT THIS PLATFORM FROM 2 PIECES OF CHERRY WOOD.....then sanded it then lightly oiled it with machine oil.....age old technique used by artist for a centuries.

* The arrow heads were all dug up here with in a mile or so. The top left at 12:00 sliced my finger open "its incredibly sharp! after "150 years old minium" sliding my hand over the dirt
while I was planting some seeds in my vegetable garden in june 2001
9 months after 9-11 it made me pause and reflect very deeply about life.

My only #2 Stag's

Back from the U.S.A.: The 118 D2 are good ones. I think too Buck offered four of the D2 Personal.

Haebbie, those a real some beauty's! thanks for sharing them.

I have a question has BUCK ever changed the up-sweep on the end of the blades through out the decades? those all appear to be exactly the same? Just wondering????

Morning gents, thanks ITE; as every week there are some great Bucks on display. After failing to buy a yellow Delrin 303 when they were plentiful I got lucky and found one sitting in a display case in a gunshop this past week. Of course it's mine now! OH

ps look at the size of the nail nick - deepest one I've seen.

Thanks to all of you for the great photos. Some very nice knives this SPS. My contribution today comes with a story as some/most knives do. Several years ago at an estate auction I purchased a Buck counter display. There were no keys for the display so I couldn't open the front to put knives in it for display, nor could I open the back which was for storage. The auctioneer verified that they had no keys and it was being auctioned, "as is". I figured I could either get a new key made, replace the locks, etc., so what the heck. I ended up winning the display with one bid of $30, the only other bid was the first one which was for $25. Anyway, to make a long story short, I noticed that there was something shifting inside the display. Hadn't picked it up earlier, just looked at it. When I got home and took the top off I found 5-6 Buck folders, two Case fixed blades and this Buck Model 116 Caper, all NIB in the back storage compartment on the display.

Thought the price tag might be a clue as to why it was never sold. At that kind of price it mostly likely never would have.

Anyway, from now on I make it a point of double checking any display cases I run across for sale regardless of the brand of knives especially if they are locked a you never know what you might find. All in all I figured I got about $425.00 worth of knives (retail price) for that $30 investment which I think is at least as much as the display itself is worth since that's what I was buying in the first place.

P.S. Just noticed when that the catalog number on the box has been inked out. That's not something I did, wonder why a shop/store would do that?
