Oh yeah....and you know how I like stag. Nice Buck to start today's show with!! :)

I stopped riding early today and had internet access. Here are a few pictures I took this morning. I thought they would go nicely on the SPS. These three pictures are of my Paradigm which is on this 8,500 mile trip with me. These were taken in west Texas not far from the Mexican border. I spotted this guy and was thrilled. He is the first wild tarantula I've ever come across.

He walked right across my Paradigm.

Hi Armand,

Here is another photo for this weeks SPS. I just got this one in the mail this week, I can't for the life of me understand why folks think it's ok to ship a folding knife with the blade open!!!!!

Now the velour in the display has been shredded and the knife blade stuck in the wooden display, lifting a chip! I thought this would be a good place to post this as food for thought. When you ship a folding knife close the blade and make darn sure the knife can't move around in the display or package them separately. I have had to many knives shipped to me that were allowed to move around in the display case causing damage, one such knife came from one of our big time Buck knife dealers and the knife broke the unique display case by breaking out the plastic side of the case. Another had the blade break out the plastic side of a display case and the blade was sticking out the side of the box when it was delivered!

Now the collectors knife in the above photo is not worth what I paid for it as the original packaging is now longer as new!

I am 100% with you on this one JB4570. For the past couple years everytime I purchase something to be shipped to me I send them an email asking them to pack carefully and double box or make sure the knife is closed or whatever is needed to make sure the package comes in undamaged condition. As well as if the item purchased came in an original box I ask them to ship it in a secondary box to preserve the original box condition since the box is part of the value. Still sometimes they box poorly but most of the time I get a great response from the seller and the item comes in great condition. UPS did deliver a box with a Buck Kalinga Pro folder a couple weeks ago and the outer box was so crushed the Buck box inside was about half the length it started out to be.

jb4570, I swear to god after the get paid sometimes they just totally ignore themost importan part THE DELIVERY of the item....and have a total disregard & could care less as long as they get paid. Sometimes I think what feeds this is a sellers LET DOWN.....if you know what I'm $aying, and just like a good or bad restaraunt quality & [consistency] of the food is crucial! to keep your reputation one of the major detractors "TURN OVER" sometimes the newbies could "care less" or they haven't had much experience at the job yet.....Thats make me sick to see what happened to your collectors case. Did you get any kind of offer or resolution to remedy the situation? I'd be livered! personally. Sorry for your loss ~jb~

Dang jb.... that is a bummer!

I rarely get any good wildlife photos around here, and today followed suit.....
But... 4 newly hatched Killdeer running around in the yard with the parents, our goats and chickens :)
If they stop moving for a second, I could get a decent photo...lol
There are a coupke of tge little buggers near the middle of the photo.

Buck custom 100yr edition knife with buffalo horn handle. The non-Buck is an early Guy Hielsher stag handled, 01/1095 Damascus. My 426 is being held by my knife gremlin who watches over my display case.
