The Sunday Picture Show... (8-19-2012)

I didn't realize I had so many of these either. I have two without boxes and these three new in the box. Going through all these boxes is like Christmas.

Man what a great show, so many knives to covet:thumbup:

When we go up to church camp outside Slippery Rock Pa, all the counselers always have to make a wally run for last minute items we forgot befor the campers get there the next day. I always check for disco'd Bucks but havent had any luck the last few years.:grumpy: This year they appparently are ridding themselves of 371's and redpoints.
I dont care for the redpoints but even though the 371 is chinese, I really like them for fit and finish and the wood scales.

Here is a photo of the non-engrave bolster CHP knife.

In 1992 another CHP LE knife was issued, this one has no engraving on the bolsters, has the 1992 tang stamp. Any one have one?

jb, I love the etch on the blades of the CHP knives. By the way, do you remember this one? It just surfaced again while I was going through some storage boxes full of knives.

ITE, I've never seen a Buck 539 before - they are pretty neat knives. Attached are my Buck pocketknives; a Schrade made 301 from 1966, two Camillus made (a 301 and a 321) from the 1970's, a 303 from the early 1980's, and a 309 Whittler that I bought last year from Bass Pro (it came packaged in a little wooden box with a slider lid - I had never seen one of those before and never knew that Buck made a Whittler pattern knife). OH

Old H, you have some nice 300s... Thanks for sharing and hope see you post more pics next Sunday... Thanks... ITE ...

Hello everyone. Looks like an excellent SPS....thanks ITE for getting it all started again and thanks to all who posted their pictures!!.

I woke up in my tent this morning about 2am to rain. It looked so good last night that I didn't put the fly on the tent. I put that fly on quick!! :)

My hike started out wet this morning on the Mountains To Sea Trail here in NC, so I decided to post some wet pictures of the knife I'm carrying on this hike....a Paradigm Pro. These were taken in one of the many mountain streams out here.

I decided to carry this knife after hearing JB talk about his a few weeks ago. I had a couple, so I grabbed one and am enjoying having it along.

I came across a few elk a couple days ago near the Trail in the Smokies;

CC, that Segua scaled 112 came out sweet...

jwh, nice Vantage Pro and Buck...

Sitflyer, those are sweet 110s Web Specials... I never did get one... Next time...

Oregon, you got some cool coins and the 127 is nice too... Nice pics....

Pdave, those 503s are just sweet... I like them all...

ScottK, that one sweet 120... I hope you find a sheath for that one... Nice...

JB, nice 110s today...

DeSky, first the Mouse catcher is cool... I like the 2-dash 110's, I like the FG best but the handle on the other one nice... I just got an older 119 like yours but mine is a Buckcote, I think... and your 102 are all nice too...

Haebbie, great knives... I still need to find a 535...

Thanks everyone for sharing part of your collection with all of us here on the SPS...:thumbup::thumbup:

This Show is for everyone so post some pics of one of your knives or a few knives from your collection... Thanks

ITE

+1 on what Armand said....

Wow, super nice knives everyone!

Dave, that is some nice looking Bocote wood scales;). I need to pull out my over flow box and see whats inside:confused:.

Stumps, sweet action photo's as always. Looks like your Elk pals left you behind:D.

Casy, I'm a big fan of the Segua scaled 112's....nice!

375dave, the scales look good. For the blade try various grits of sand paper, across the blade. I usually start with 200 and work up to a worn out 600 grit.

Thanks edbeau, I'll give that a try, I have a polishing wheel that helps with the bolsters after cutting them down.

I dont care for the redpoints but even though the 371 is chinese, I really like them for fit and finish and the wood scales.

As much as it would bother me to buy one of the China Bucks, looking at the edges on those blades is really tempting me. They look nice and thin and sharp.

Stunt, they really perform well. The older one shown with china side up and has the hammer and bolt is 420hc, the new of course is 420J2. I wish Buck would pull them back to USA because I love the dymondwood scales. Both 371's are more tight than my 301.

Nice pic gentleman, here is a couple more slip joints for ya. One of these 703s has a 704 blade.
