The Sunday Picture Show... (8-31-2014)

Here's my 501 that I just finished re-handling in ebony. It was my first attempt at anything like this, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Made a few mistakes along the way, but had some fun doing it. The only power tool used was a Dremel for removing the scales. I also want to thank Stumps, cause his walkthrough thread on re-handling helped me out a lot.

Hello all! Some great buck Knives on display today. And as always thank you Armand for putting it on.

I have two specimens today. The first is this 110 Stag with stone washed BG-42 blade and NS bolsters. It is an absolutely gorgeous knife. Full disclosure, it belongs to a fellow forum member who loved it more than I.

With this addition the only 110 drop-point I'm missing is the 2010 members only user version with plum paperstone inlays. Anyone have one they might part with please let me know.

This one is the last brick in the wall for you?

Speaking of drop point folder, here are two Bucklite 426 maroon drop point folders:

Snapping turtle, rare in this neck of the woods, vs size 14 sneaker and eyeball to eyeball during a rain storm a while back:

ITE you've been at this Buck knife stuff for so long I bet you can remember bouncing Hoyt Buck on your knee when he was a young fellow. This thread and you are so old you probably have an autographed copy of the Bible.

Welcome aboard buckman110 and cool user name! If there is one thing I like more then a 500 series it's two 500 series...

Late tonight joining in, good looking Bucks on display; just got in from spending the weekend at the beach (dove opens tomorrow, so we HAD to get home tonight). Carrying these Bucks with me in the morning, two of my hunting companions, a 307 Wrangler and a 102 Woodsman. On the way home we stopped at a local sporting goods store in Kinston - the knife case was full of new Bucks - gotta get back over there next week! OH

Okay Steve, I also helped build the pyramids... Now everyone knows how old I am...

Dang it... I have more wrinkles than that snapping turtle...

:)

2TONYB, can't wait to see what you get this year... Good luck....

And we will need lots of pictures... Thanks for sharing... ITE ...

I really need some buck display anvils

Leroy had a mess of really cool anvils last Spring at OKCA. I regret not owning one. Perhaps he can direct you. Does anyone have one of those?

Desert Chris, rest his wrist, confabulates glass anvils to perfection and even scales Hoyt Bucks anvil!

SMKW had them as schwag years ago. I haven't seen one lately.
