Nice show gentleman, thanks for the photos. JB, I like your scrimmed Dukes. Are they print/ethcings or actual scrimmed? DM

Greatshow guys!
My first USA knife at 12 was a Schrade 8OT. I know Schrade made them for Buck back in the day. I believe that is the lower knife. I also beleive the upper knife is made by Camilus in the early 60's. Any further info would be appreciated.
These knives have really nice fit. I bet the assembly line process back then was alot different than now.

Actually, both of those knives were made for Buck by Schrade. The top, with the grooved bolsters, is a first version (1967); bottom is a second version (1968-1972).

Hi David,

These are 1998 Buck issued LE 500's, 4 knives in the set Eagle, Snowy Owl, CA Condor, Peregrine Falcon. There were 1000 of each knife issued and the blade's were engraved "Limited Edition 1-1000". I just noticed by looking at the blades that the Snowy owl engraving on mine is Block lettering and the rest are italic. It should also be noted that there are over runs to these knives and they have no blade engraving at all.

Now to your question David, these are Scrimmed not printed. However, I do think they were done via machine and not by hand. I went to look at what the Buck catalog had to say and was surprised that there were no photos of these knives in the 98 catalog? There was a section on the last page that talks about "new" products and has them listed there. Maybe I just missed them?

Herbert also has the full set of these, Herbert how are your blades engraved? Also any other folks who have any of this set; how are yours engraved?

Congratusltions to your "Birds of prey"

A few more informations you find in the Model History From BCC "Special Projects"

I'm only missing the "Loon". And to answer your question: not all are engraved.
Fifty fifty have the limited ed. engraving. The engraving is 1-1000 at the birds of prey,
the geese and the ducks have 1-2000

Best,
Haebbie

Most of you have seen this, but I'll post it here until I get better pictures. It's my first 112, my first David Yellowhorse and my first Wilde Bill Cody... and not likely to be my last, but there's always something special about your first.

Did anyone else here get one of these Eagle Feather 112s?

jb4570 and Haebbie, those are nice collections.
