That is a much more 'fitting' handle than what Buck had been putting on the 916

Yeah, that is one reason why I got it. I don't like the puny handle on the regular Bowies - I don't have one. I'd rather have a 124 than a small handle 916.

A fully serrated blade, how many other Buck knives had fully serrated blades? I think not many.

There is a 317 with a fully serrated blade, but it's a secondary blade, so maybe that doesn't count.

I really liked the shape of the handle on the Knifemakers 916, thought hard about it. Wish it had been something more unique than Rosewood for the price.

My thoughts too. But I ordered it anyway. $477 was steeper than I like to pay. I am supposed to be winding down.

Agreed.
I had one in my cart, but couldn't justify it.
Now I look at the 124 with that flat grind blade and it's about the same money if you put a nice handle on it.
Oh well.

I know. I've been using 110s for fifty years, but never got my first 112 until a couple years ago. I've been carrying a 112 more than anything else since then.
