Thanks Roger for the History lesson and doing the Sunday Picture Show. My father’s ship, the Destroyer USS Cassin Young, participated in the shore bombardment of Iwo Jima. Later the ship was hit twice by Kamikazes while doing radar picket duty off Okinawa. This 112 Slim Select has had its 420 blade swapped for a CPM S-30-V blade.View attachment 2088957

No, I think you are looking at it correctly. I, too, see it as 124. And yes, it does have a 75th anniversary mark.
could be. that guard and pommel just rub me as 124 for some reason. maybe just the pic, and I'm lookin at it wrong?
Sitting here studying a 119 it could be altered to that shape and you would only loose 3/16" off of it length.
I agree guard pommel from 124, it was the blade that caught my attention most.

I really wish they had done the 446 in keeping with the 426 (based off the 110) There's nothing about the 446 that I like.
It would have made a great match to these two (but with out serration), when I got these two I was going to change the blades to un-serrated, but I doubt I will fuss with it now, maybe one day if I get board.
