Bert, My knife has the same year and steel as yours but the frame is not scalloped around the complete perimeter. No groundhogs here, just marmots. A 196 LE with elk and ATS-34 by WBC from 2003.
RIP Indy.
Here's two little fellas that found a new home. The first is a nice stag Model 196 Mini Alpha Hunter that I found sitting unloved on the corner of a gun dealers table. BOS ATS-34 blade and date code 2003. The other little fella I found as a kitten years ago on the 4th of July sitting unloved along a rural roadside 10 oclock at night, must have been a 'dump'. Date code 2008. Named him Indy for Independence Day. Indy (rip) was a great cat and bonded with one of our Pyrenees, Heidie. Whenever we walked the dogs Indy would follow, running from tree to bush etc. If he fell behind, Heidie would stop and wait for him to catch up. Great amusement for the neighbors...
This is the cat in my icon all growed up.

We used to take care of a friend's Yorkshire Terrier, Tooie, when they were out of town. She was quite a bit smaller than our Alaskan Malamute who was 30" at the shoulder, and when we went for a walk, Tooie would walk underneath Logan for protection. That got some amused comments.Whenever we walked the dogs Indy would follow, running from tree to bush etc. If he fell behind, Heidie would stop and wait for him to catch up. Great amusement for the neighbors...
And the tag on that box isn't the price, is it? It almost looks like $13, but I know that ain't right.![]()
That would be 13 BUCKS for a SCHRADE in 1966.....Looks like 13.00 to me..

I wasn't thinking back that far, but I have an Uncle Henry 885 that I bought in 1970 for $15, so that sounds about right. That would be 13 BUCKS for a SCHRADE in 1966.....![]()
That’s a wonderful story, rip Indy.Bert, My knife has the same year and steel as yours but the frame is not scalloped around the complete perimeter.

Caught a glimpse of him in the headlights as we went past. I had a trailer on and had to go down the road a bit to find a place to turn around. When we got back to where I thought I saw him my wife got out and the little thing wobbled right up to her, must have been a 'dump'. Lucky night for both the kitten and us. His date code was 2008. In popular culture. Groundhog Day 1993 movie Starring Bill Murray, Andie MacDowell. (2:36 trailer)
I wonder if the extra file work is something that made mine a limited edition. It is serialized 9/250.Bert, My knife has the same year and steel as yours but the frame is not scalloped around the complete perimeter.

Me neither. I should have been more agressive in the early years.I like sets, too, but I don't have them all.
You can count that one any way you want!! I don't recognize it, factory, SFO, or aftermarket?Roger, does just plain bone count to almost a member of the set?
