Well, yes, it is a Marlin 22lr. One more clue, a picture of the forend should give it away.
The scope is a Sears /Ted Williams.

You got it. The 989M2 is the clip version. 99M1 is the tube feed. I see the tube feed more often but that is random.
110,000 M2's made '65 to '78 so there should be a few out there. I have both.

really put on the show. I knew there were custom Alpha's out there but it was eye opening to see how many. Thanks to everyone who played this week, not just those I mentioned.. Everyones contribution is important. Hope to see you all again next week, feel free to continue to post and comment here until then but please save something for the next show.
About next week, I'd like to suggest something a little different. Lets see the pets, present and past. Dogs, cats, turtles, whatever you have. In addition to your knife photo, include a pet picture. If you have a photo showing both together, even better. Our "empty nest" is populated by 3 cats and a dog. When we married 40 years ago Penny had a dog and I had a cat. I remember her father making it clear that his daughter and her dog was a package deal. We've had both ever since. I saw a funny sign the other day... "Dogs have masters and cats have staff"... I think it's true.
