Happy SPS

Twenty years ago I inherited half dozen guns from my Uncle Willie. Three of them were high quality. The other three were more akin to Saturday Night Specials. One of these was an RG Industries model 14s which was "made in the USA of American and German Parts". If this isn't the same as the Rohm RG14, its pretty close. I ran two or three cylinders through it and was surprised at how well it shot for a cheap, snub nose, .22lr. Then the transfer bar broke rendering the gun inoperable. I took it apart, thinking I could repair it in some fashion. Maybe make a new part or build up the hammer. Determining that the project was not a priority I decided to put it back together and work on it another time. Much to my chagrin, I couldn't figure out how to reassemble it 🤨 Its rare that I can't reassemble something that I took apart, but there you go 🫠 Frankly, its not worth much effort.

I hadn't thought about it in years until this morning. I thought I had thrown it out, but nope, there it was. The small silver piece laying on the sideplate is the broken transfer bar. The box is marked $46.97. I'd be surprised if my uncle paid that much for it.
