The Sunday Picture Show (March 3rd, 2024)

Going to add this Folding Hunter in to the Sunday Picture Show even though I posted it in the "What you carrying?" thread. I misplaced this one last summer when we moved, found it in a box today. Glad it is back (even though I didn't realize it was missing!) OH

If you want to use an image you've already uploaded (posted) of BF:

-Go to your profile
-images and find the image you want to repost
-click image to new window
-copy url
-come back to your current post
-click the image tool to insert
-click the chain link
-past url to previously uploaded image
-click insert.
view


May be an easier way that I've not found yet. New images if you're over the limit is still an issue.
 
MT_Pokt MT_Pokt Thanks, I'm trying to see if re-posting an existing image can get me around the limit. Not wanting to go to a host site (yet) and hoping for a solution before Sunday. Upgrading to Platinum does not get me enough.

addendum.. MT_Pokt MT_Pokt short learning curve but your method does let me repost old images without being cut off by the attachment limit.

Yes! Once it's uploaded to this sight and in your gallery list, just repost the URL in the link as I described.

It doesn't help to get by the limit but anything already uploaded here can be reposted.

I'm over the limit as well and the image I posted in the above post was already on the site in my list. As was the photo I posted this morning in the AK guide thread.

Someone really determined could find duplicate uploads, change the additional images to the url of the original and delete the multiple uploads of the same image to create more space. I have a feeling though that many of us who are over the limit are WAY over the limit and all that work won't change our status.
 
MT_Pokt MT_Pokt Would you consider posting your instructions in a new thread for all to see. I'm sure we are not the only ones (way) over the limit. I have 2,473 images using 211 MB of space. Platinum would get me 400MB but I'd still be way over the attachment count because it's which ever you hit first.

Another solution would be to open a new account. Perhaps DesotoSky1. I wonder what would become of images under an inactive account. 🤔

I remain hopeful that administration is working out a solution to avoid redundant work arounds.

I too would like to know. Im up on april 20. I dont plan on paying to not be able to post. I also dont plan on paying more, so I can post a few more photos.

Maybe we could start a chain email for Buck pics...

I feel like its 1996 and Im counting my free cellular minutes.

dont do that. you can not have multiple bf accounts. that will get ya in big trouble.

even if banned or ya leave the pics hosted here on bf stay.

A new account, not an additional account. Once a limit is reached let that account expire and open a new account, especially if all content of the old account is retained on the forum.

a new account is an additional account to the same person. the rules say one account per person. just 3rd party host until the owner figures out how to do what he can do.
 
I don't see the issue with a good, third party hosting site. I've used one almost exclusively to post my photo's for years in spite of having 80% of my allowed attachment space go unused. I do acknowledge that one hosting site (Hunt101) did go belly-up and I had to put my pictures on another one, but my current one (Postimages.org) seems pretty solid. A benefit is that so many other forums (hunting, shooting, and fishing) use the same software that Blade uses, so posting a picture there is just as easy as posting here. OH

I hear ya. (and Jesse) I'm just gun shy after having lost 1600 image links to Photobucket in the past. (had the images backed up)
I'll go to a hosting site if need be but want to wait to see what solution will be offered here.
