The Sunday Picture Show (March 7, 2021)

I've shown this one before. WOLF VALLEY in Pearl Corelon and Nickel silver bolsters by David Yellowhorse.
I picked it up at a knife show about 5 years ago. The image is cut into the surface of the scale then filled with the color.

Here are three versions of the 'Lacy" that David has done. On the bottom an early 112, middle the 30th Anniversary 212 Edition and the top is a current 111 one.

pjsjr pjsjr I've asked this question here before and not sure I got an answer. What is the meaning of the term "Lacy". It seems to only be used in reference to Yellowhorse knives. Does it refer to the use of the "corrugated" inlay?

I think so. Probably the first he used it in a commercial knife...maybe for the Sharper Image. Clint @bucksway might know. Gene M. would for sure.

Here is another vanguard by David Yellowhorse. There are I believe 4 knives in the Cuthair Series. Each based off a Buck Vanguard featuring chipped blades and a different inlay theme.
Series 1 - A Long Walk Home
Series 2 - The Silversmith
Series 3 - Ceremonial Drum
Series 4 - The Rug Weaver

The Cuthair series were made to honor David Yellowhorse's Great Grandfather Cuthair Yellowhorse.
I found a record of death online and if it is David's Grandfather it looks like he passed away in March of 1956 at the age of 89 in an auto accident in Ganado Az.

This knife is series 2, The Silversmith.
