The Sunday Picture Show (March 7, 2021)

Happy SPS everyone nice knives as always, here’s a old picture of my Vanguard and the best custom sheath, I like them Yellowhorses some of y’all might remember awhile back I was working on a trade with a local guy for a 112 that he bought with two others out from under me, I offered him a real good trade something worth more $ , but he decided he rather sell it on the bay and ship it off to someone he didn’t know instead of keeping a friend. Preston - That bottom one appears to be the series 3 of the Cuthair series called Navajo Ceremonials. Do you have any of the others?
Bucks sales literature called the Cuthair series a 108 in some places and a 109 in others. Anyone know why? Are they somehow different than the 192's?

Roger - Don't you have the NRA 192 with the Bear statue? Could you please show a picture or two if you have them?

Here is a 192 with what looks like amboyna burl handle and a master series BG42 blade.

The 108 and 109 are two different things although the were both Yellowhorse chipflinted models.
The 108 is the Vanguard style chipflint Cuthair knife. I have 1-2-3.
The 109 was a similar styled chipflinted 112 knife. I do not have one and am not sure if the theme was cuthair or how many were in the series.
Look in the 1994 catalog for a start.
Interestingly, Cuthair I was introduced in the 1990 catalog and the Vanguard /Quest were introduced in the 1991 catalog.

gedlicks gedlicks This Bear was part of the 2005 Friends of NRA Banquet merchandise package and came with a Buck 192. Yes I did get the knife with it but dang if I couldn't find it, the bear is a little harder to misplace....:)

I believe the knife was available independently of the sculpture. See this post from 2013. I think the OP is Armand's daughter.

Perhaps bucksway as our resident 112 expert could give some information on the Yellowhorse 109 (112) series.

I did look at your Cuthair reference and agree 109 was a typo. It leads to confusion because there actually is a related 109 series based on the 112.

Hi All, Happy SPS. It's 11:30 pm here so I just made it (no bad as my day started at 3:30 am). Thank you Roger for keeping the weekly event going strong and all of you for sharing your awesome knives. No new 192s just some old photos
