The Sunday Picture Show (October 2, 2022)

I've got a few of the modern one's. The Silver Creek Bait knife is a really nice knife, if it were U.S. made I would find more and customize them, I like it way better than the Vanguard. Not overly fond of the Silver Creek 6" filet knife though for filleting, it's ok for boning meat though.

This is the 1st model of the 121 scaler with the double keeper sheath, box and papers.

And here are the scalers with the 4 stamp variations.

this 3 line 119 was hanging in an employees office for many years--now ex employee and i got it from him last week..look how the brass pommel and guard have patina from the years hanging...
Buck made 100 of these sets for DU in 1983. Yours must be the prototype. It does not have the DU logo on the handle and the hardware is brass.
My hardware is aluminum, not brass. They were issued with a fancy sheath and a gorgeous blue velvet lined walnut box.

Thanks for all the cool pic's.
And once again, I salute DeSoto for keeping the SPS alive.👍

I don't have any Buck fishing knives.
I wanted to grab one of those yellow ones they have on Web Special, and was so excited when I ordered my Gen5...... Well I forgot.😐

I haven't been fishing since I sold my boats.... I got sick of putting money into 'em.🤨

I guess you could easily clean a fish with a 118.
It does everything!😀

Super clean 118
Good deals available on handy man specials in Florida right now if you want to get back into boating.
I wonder how many fish have been cleaned by kids with one of those cheap gas station pocket knives. You know, the one with the scaler and fish hook prong as a second blade.

Thanks.

It's cheaper to buy fish than to own a boat and catch them.
Besides, they're putting cup holders on shopping carts now.
😎

Couch potato today watching movies with the computer on my lap has led to excessive posting. Here is the ChinaBuck 387 FishPick exclusive to Smoky Mountain. Reminds me of the cheap little pocket knives I had as a kid. I used this piece of petrified wood on my front porch as a prop to take a picture of the 387 FishPick. While inside uploading the pictures a butterfly came to visit. You can't stage these kinds of pictures.
