The Tenacious

OP's problem was the reason I sold my Tenacious. It got way too dull way too fast to make a good work knife for me.

Just don't throw a clot when it sells for $100.00 then. In the meantime, find a Caly 3 or a Caly 3.5 and pretend they are "upgraded" Tenacious models.

I won't lol and the cally 3.5 is the right size but you seem to be missing the point if that knife would fit the bill there would be no need to want an upgraded tenacious, firstly the 3.5 is a lock back not liner lock for those of us that need to open and close the knife with one hand this presents difficulty. It does not use purley handle ergonomics for blade control and rather sacrifices cutting edge to allow one to choke up on the blade hence loss of cutting surface.

I don't miss the point, but it seems that when people ask for "upgraded" models they want all the bells and whistles, but don't want any of the associated costs that come along with blades made from steel that hasn't been invented yet, etc.
I don't get what you mean by not being able to close a lock back one handed. I have a few lockbacks and don't have an issue closing them one handed. Anyway, it sounds like Sal et al have some plans for the Tenacious. I hope those plans include the Persistence too.

I'm going to predict a 154cm Golden, CO edition.

If a Golden Manix2 can be had for $70.00-$80.00, you could guess the Tenacious might run $60.00-$70.00. Not bad.

I love my Milles. Paras, Callies, Enduras, Delicas but that damn Tenacious more times then not ends up in my pocket. Yes it has junk steel but it just fits. I love the size shape and ergos. It just feels good and it IS quite the slicer. If I lose it I'm only out 35 bucks. Hands down the best knife value from any manufacturer. Sal, if a enhanced version with better steel is offered it will rock the knife world. My deposit is ready......I'm still patiently wating for my M4 Milie

I don't think a vg-10 or s30v would make it near $100. As long as it was still made in China to keep costs low really the only price difference is the current cost of the new steel and any extra time (If any) it takes to make the blade how they want it. I think you can pick up a Tenacious now for around $30 or so, I'd pay $40-$50 for a vg-10 / s30v in the current g-10 scales. I personally like the design more than the Delica and I love my Sage 1 it's one of my top favorite knives, I just wish the blade was a tad longer because you loose like 1/2 inch at the basel and the Tenacious is all 3 3/8 blade it makes my Sage 1 blade look kinda dinky.

My Persistence finds it's way into my pocket a lot more often than most of my more expensive knives.
