The "This Knife is So Ugly..." thread

I don't think that's a bad looking knife. Not bad at all.

Its those faux uber tactical things on Amazon with spikes and dragon motifs - those are the ones that make my tummy hurt.

Sadly someone bought me the first knife link. They were so proud of the gift..... Meanwhile I gave her boyfriend a Benchmade. It sits on top my safe hidden from sight.

That's actually disturbing.

Okay.
I'm bored.
Anyways I was looking at all my awesome knives and one in particular kept sticking out.
You know, like always asking for attention:

I actually think it's an interesting design overall.

If a few things were tweaked, it could be a winner.

Mount it on your car as a hood ornament.

Ummm ... isn't "ugly" like "beauty" in the eye(s) of whoever is looking?

Example: I'm trying to think of a "modern" knife that I don't consider hard on the eyes. I can't think of any ...
Yet many on here consider CRK, and Spyderco knives, "tanto blades" and boxy "over built" folders to be "beautiful".
To each their own. :)

As has been quoted many times by those who should know,"beauty is in the eye of the beer holder"!
...and honorable mention goes to "they're all 10's at closing time".

One knife was so ugly, that it asked for a different set of scales so no one could recognize it. Sorry, no pics, but anything from the cheap Frost line of fixed blades.

S Stelth :

We got a winner, that thing is so ugly a blind man would cry!

Please let me describe my first impression of the above:

"Nah, that's not a... Oh it is, it has a ground down, and maybe sharpened part, therefore it must be a... (I cannot bring myself to call it a...)

It vaguely reminds me of a Kaiju from that Pacific Rim movie, but at least they were thought to have a personality. (the Kaiju I meant is called Otachi - but it's way more handsome)
That "thing" you call "the robot turd" is beyond that description.

I cannot cope with the idea that someone came up with it, and painstakingly brought it into being.

Who can remember what that half baked ex Israeli SF guy's knife was called? Inspired by a crow's bill, had a hole to range a main battle tank for a TOW missile... :D
That thing was UGLY!

... so ugly, I wouldn’t sell it on the Exchange.

Today I saw one there, actually, a Spyderco no less. :D

In the spirit of: “they’re all pretty at closing time, even the well used ones:)

I would feel bad calling out a knife as ugly..... That's like saying that about someone's wife. :/

Many popular brands and knives here look just awful, and I struggle with why they are so popular?

I'm willing to compliment ones I like....... but not (publicly) the other way around.

I got one...

So ugly it wouldn't sell out in pre-sales and then go for three times retail on eBay even if GEC made it.

Eh, it probably still would 🤣
