I dont think Ive come across an online community whose members are as thoughtful and generous as those who frequent the Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades forum aka The Porch.
If you have been given a knife (traditional, obviously) from another Trads forum participant via a giveaway contest or as an outright gift, please post a photo of it, along with some words about what you like about it.
Ill start: I recently received a Victorinox Manager from SAK Guy (imagine that!). If I didnt like pocketknives, I wouldnt really need to carry anything else as a sub-urban stay-at-home-dad of twin toddlers.

The pen blade is more than adequate for opening packages of all kinds and sizes. The drivers are perfect for toy battery changes, and punch above their weight class. Ill spare you a description of some of the things Ive used the tweezers for; suffice it to say they are extremely handy. The pen has seen action signing cards for all of the birthday parties that are now the focus of my wife and my social lives. By far, though, the scissors have proven to be the most indispensible implement, from clipping stray threads to those plastic clothing tag barbs to cutting down straws at restaurants for the littles.
Thank you, SAK Guy/R-!
