The Traditional Knives Intra-forum Gift Archive

I went to the mailbox yesterday and there was a package from my friend Mrknife. (Jack that was a complete surprise). Like a kid I ran inside and opened it and there I found a beautiful S&M stag Barlow and an equally beautiful Orient watch. I have no idea what I have done to deserve the generosity I have received here on the porch but I truly appreciate it. Jack your generosity is unbelievable and I thank you so much for the gifts but even more so for your friendship you have been mighty good to this old man.

Very glad yours and bob's arrived ok! do enjoy!

Wow... so many great knives given away by a generous bunch. Its always nice to own a knife that has a little meaning behind it, whether its an old knife with some history or just a gift with some sentimental value.:thumbup:

I mentioned in a thread that I had been back and forth in deciding to buy a Russlock. neal70 read this and the next thing I know this shows up in the mailbox. Thanks so much Neal

Thanks for sharing your joy, Randy! And the exceptional kindness here on the porch never ceases to amaze me. Sexy watch:thumbup:

I received a rr trapper from neko in a gaw, but I gave it to my dad as I decided trappers really aren't my thing. My dad loves it btw.
Then there's this imperial Barlow I received as an outright gift from R8shell which is my most carried traditional. And it's in my pocket right now. This knife pretty much got me into actually carrying a traditional slipjoint.

Well I received two fine gifts this year, a gold membership from R Redden, and a beautiful large Case Stockman from Woodrow F Call, wrapped up in a great complimentary (colorwise) green kerchief. I'm a newbie at pictures, but I'm hoping to get some posted tomorrow when my son takes his nap. :D Or downtime, as I think of it. Both these two are fine gentleman and contribute a lot to this forum.
Thanks, Neal

Oh Boys, it's me again!
You have to be very careful when you say something on the Porch! In a thread about Yellers, I emitted the idea I wished I could try a yellow delrin case because I have been a bit disappointed by the feeling of jigged delrin.
Today I received a parcel from Randy Redden
Besides a Yellow delrin Case beer opener / mini trapper and enough change to get some bread! :)
Seriously, I must say I am twice grateful.
1) for receiving a really nice knife, very well done, F&F , W&T as usual with Case (at least those I have);
2) for helping me discover a much more pleasant material than when jigged, warm and quite sensual..
For sure this little guy will spend a lot of pocket time! Randy, Thank You again! :D

I've never seen that pattern configuration, that's awesome.

I think she's been released last year? Very practical the perfect pocket size and opening much smoother than the beer scout(that I use a lot). Smooth delrin is really.... smoooooth!
The full name is Caplifter mini-Trapper.

I should also mention that I was the lucky winner in Fishcakes Jack knife GAW, in that not only did I receive a great little Imperial peanut, sears 4-way screwdriver and P-38 can opener, but a brilliant (all senses of the word) flashlight that was added to the giveaway by AlwaysaTomboy. It's all great , but that light is something else. Bright doesn't cover it, especially with a single triple A bat-trey! O-light 13eeos, is the model I believe, and blows any other keychain light out of the water. Still trying to work on my photo posting skills,, but when I can I will.
Thanks, Neal
