Great pics :)

That is a great looking knife. I want to get one but was wondering about the quality / workmanship now that they are made is Spain. What's your opinion.

Sorry for the delayed reply, but I just now saw your query. Mine has only minor issues, which are fully acceptable for this kind of knife. No functional problems at all.

Great pics :)

Thank you, my friend:D

So many great pictures of beautiful knives today!!! Ed, that is a wonderful case trapper. I have not seen that one. Gunstock, now that is the perfect size anvil. Burnside, that knife has such a rich flavor.

Thanks for sharing Swiss culture. Your Sunday Bread is called Zopf, which means braided.

It looks a lot like the braided bread called Challah, that is also a traditional Sabbath food, and is also brushed with egg.

Challah and Zopf are also similar to Brioche,

a french variety, which strangely enough credits Vienna for its origin, that is, Brioche is considered a Viennoiserie

Looks like there has been some cultural cross pollination between Brioche, Zopf and Challah. Thanks for the interesting post.

Henry Sears and Son elephant toenail with a 4" Ulster stockman for comparison. Toe is about a hundred years old and well worn!

I like how the sheath[let] covers the blade only. Is that traditional, or your own spin? Either way, nice job-- as usual. :)

That is a fantastic picture, ~P!!
Funny you took a photo of your knife and twizzlers. I was just eating a few yesterday and thinking the same thing. Strawberry flavor.:p
Great pic!!

Thanks, guys. :) The Twizzlers background was inspired by Vic/Confucius77. While I've long been drawn to GEC's "short run" shield, stock pictures of this particular knife were uninspiring. When I noticed Vic had snagged one off the venerable Exchange (lucky duck), I asked him for his impressions of the knife and particularly its covers. In addition to his clear (and enticing) pictures of just how good this knife can look in person and his favorable review of the pattern, he mentioned that its covers reminded him of licorice.

*Light Bulb.*

(In the interests of full Knife Nut disclosure I will add that, the day the knife arrived, I eagerly went to the store and bought Twizzlers for the above background. While at the store, I entirely forgot that our household was 100% out of toilet paper, and failed to buy some. So it goes.)

Gunstock, now that is the perfect size anvil. Burnside, that knife has such a rich flavor.

Why, I do believe that's a Stiddy!

(I learned that here.)

:D
