The TRADITIONAL sunday picture show!!!!

"Absolutely beautiful, Robin!!! Tell me where you will post all the pictures of the Pow Wow"

Thanks my friend. That is a great sheepsfoot you posted, wonderful scales. Sadly the pow wow almost rained out on Saturday and today it was freekin freezing so no pics of this years pow wow.:( I have some great friends on that reserve so it's always wonderful to spend time with them.

Hi Sarah
"I like how the sheath[let] covers the blade only. Is that traditional, or your own spin? Either way, nice job-- as usual. "
I was toying with a more traditional Sammi sheath but I wanted the handle to be highlighted so I used a strap that was narrow enough to hide behind it for the belt loop. I'm in love with Walrus ivory, it has an almost soft feel in your hand and glows when it's sanded to a super fine finish. I NEEEEED a Norfolk with Warus scales :D
Thanks for your kind comments Sarah.

Best regards

Robin

Well, I'm happy to hear that you got to spend some time with good friends, despite the weather. Sounds like a wonderful time anyway, Robin!

Alright after staring at this picture the better part of the day. What model GEC and where can I get one? Dang enablers! Looks like no lunch for a few weeks for me lol. Just love the single blade slippies and the color is amazing!

(In the interests of full Knife Nut disclosure I will add that, the day the knife arrived, I eagerly went to the store and bought Twizzlers for the above background. While at the store, I entirely forgot that our household was 100% out of toilet paper, and failed to buy some. So it goes.)

Well, at least you didn't forget the important stuff. :D

Precisely.

(Oh, me.)

Not that this knife wouldn't Twizzle with the best of 'em...

... even without the evocative background!

I was just thinking that when I saw the pic in the EDC thread, it certainly is striking

Doesn't mean you can post pics of it in the Sunday thread all week though! :p :D

ed. to add: I was just being polite, and including more than just words in my follow-up. (:p :D yourself!)

That is a #72. Tis a lockback but the #73 is the same in a slipjoint. Probably tough to find one in that color but perhaps on the secondary market. It's a great knife. Slim profile and plenty of knife without being too big. Great size for EDC in my book.

I had a great hike yesterday, through some wonderful varied countryside, in an area which used to be more commonly associated with coal-mining. Had my old Mitchell sheath knife, and my Boy’s Knife, along for the exercise :)

Have a great Sunday everyone
