This was a gift from a good friend. I had misplaced it for twelve years and found it this morning while baking brownies. I happened to look up at the top of the kitchen cabinets and saw the corner of the case peeking over the edge, I've looked for this several times in the past, tearing up closets and ransacking the garage. It commemorates the 70th anniversary of Carpenters Local 1780 in Las Vegas, founded in 1929, now in its 84th year.

That's a nice knife. Is that what is called a jagdknicker? Linder Solingen makes on of ATS 34. Pricey, but I like it so much that I am tempted to get on some day. What do you use yours, what kind of tasks is it suitable for?

I am developing a taste for european knives these days.
