I'm so glad to find 3 "brandnew" G. Gräfrath hunting folders from the 1950th/1960th in the factory shop of HUBERTUS - Solingen last week :)

This one was with me during the last two days. Isn't it a wonderful Sambar, our "parents" used in the last centenary for making knife scales?

Thanks Kris!

I'm just "preparing" the 2. one of my new babies for tomorrow... after >50 years the Sambar needs a little bit of my best oil ;)

I found this Old Timer while fishing when I was 16 years old. It was rusted up pretty bad but I cleaned it up and it has been with me on most fishing trips since.

Since I bought a whittler pattern, I thought I'd better try whittling.

Be gentle, it's my first time, and it's very much a work in progress :)

Hope you're all having a good Sunday folks. Mine is nearly over here, another couple of hours and I'll be in the sack :)

Great picture, Jack

In the wee small hours of the morning
When the whole wide world is fast asleep
I lie awake and think about that knife
And never ever think about counting sheep

Nice picture of the beautiful country side. Thanks for sharing that Jack.

"In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" is a 1955 popular song composed by David Mann, with lyrics by Bob Hilliard. It was introduced as the title track of Frank Sinatra's 1955 album In the Wee Small Hours.

It was composed by Mann and Hilliard during a post-midnight session at Hilliard’s New Jersey home. Mann was about to depart for New York when Hilliard insisted he remain to try some impromptu songwriting. Mann reluctantly agreed and eventually came up with the tune, to which Hilliard quickly wrote a lyric.

Of course I had to change it a little
