Thank you for the Sunday picture show Charlie - excellent stuff !!!:eek::thumbup::thumbup::)

Thanks, Primble. Bocote doesn't seem to get a lot of love around here, but I think it's beautiful.

showing this one today... because it leaves me today. Gave it to a great forums member at a amazing deal because he went out of his way for me. Good dude!
Great knife. She will be missed, but used by a trusted owner.

The most surprising knife for me in 2014. Superior quality!

Oh man, that is a sweet sweet necklace Charlie. There's turquoise then there's TURQUOISE. Was it made by a Zuni?

Best regards

Robin

The necklace (post #3667) is high-grade, untreated (Bisbee if I remember) Turquoise. It was made by a native of the Kewa (for many years known as Santo Domingo) Pueblo in New Mexico. Ray Lovato is one of few left doing this work, just as it was done 1000s of years ago. His work has won all the awards you can think of! I feel lucky to have a stellar example of his work. He's older now, and doesn't produce as much as he once did.
