The TRADITIONAL sunday picture show!!!!

Just a suggestion, but it might be nice to just update this thread back to the top every week, instead of starting a new one. Easier to reminisce that way. :)

I think the thread would get too long by doing that. They do this over in the Buck Forum and start a new thread every Sunday -- works out real well. Just my .02¢

Another week down, another sunday. We're getting a pretty good collection of neat knives and great pictures here everyone! Let's keep'em piling up. I got this knife in a trade here on the forums, it was an "extra" thrown in after the fact, to help me "come to the dark side" as he put it, and get more into slip joints. Well, it worked, and the funny thing is, the "extra" knife in the trade became the one I always have in my pocket everyday. I used it to cut hay bales open while feeding the cows for my neighboor yesterday, I use it for work just about everyday, everything from cutting open boxes to cutting the sleeve off coax cable a couple hundred feet off the ground, to killing time and carving wooden lures. Couldn't tell you what the steel is, but it stays pretty sharp and sharpens easily.

If you are in Rome, I'm right down the Thruway from you, in Syracuse. I spent my teenage years in Whitesboro, transplanted from Ohio. My dad and I spent a lot of time on the West Canada, Moose River area and the Fulton chain lakes. I guess after 4+ decades here I can call CNY home. :D

Here's a streamside Ohta shot. Just to keep with the content. ;)

Talk about a pair of beauties! Nice Ohta and the Lamson Litespeed reel and the rod aren't half bad either!

This old beauty goes to the last man standing - at my old work. A grader operator that could cut the tape off the side of the grade stake.
The world moves on, its all up to younger guys and lazers now.. 300Bucks

There is a button on every link that says "LAST". Click on that button Ed, to get to the end of any thread... It keeps you from having to begin at the start if you don't wish to start there, and allows you to go back through the thread if you want to look through all of the nice pics the members have added. It works very well here on the OLD KNIVES thread.

Here are some senator pattern knives this morning.

And some junior sized Schrade Walden USA knives

I've had this little Schrade reverse congress for years and really like it. It is a collaboration with Joe Kious and some online research leads me to believe the stainless damascus blades are from Jerry Rados. The jigged bone is wonderful too. I don't carry this one much. The picture credit goes to A.G. Russell.

Thanks for that info and the info in your PM too. I'd a never figured it out without ya.

Here's a nice old slightly used CV Case 6347HP Stockman that arrived this week. The bolsters and liners are nickle/silver and the shield is pinned. The knife is from the 1940 through 1964 era (CASE XX).

My Otter Ankermesser and a Carl Schlieper Canoe with Stag handles and Carbonsteel blades followed me today :)

Kind regards

Here's the one I'm carrying today (here in Baghdad, Iraq!). It's a Case 63032 Medium Stockman with amber bone scales. I've rounded off all the corners and edges , re-profiled the main clip blade to more of a Turkish clip and re-profiled the sheepsfoot blade to an almost-coping blade. It has that "pocketworn" feel about it now, and is very comfortable to carry and use.

Ron,

that´s a cool looking Case stockman, My Friend. I like it with the rounded corners... :)

Kind regards
