Rookie82 Rookie82 I never knew they had a blue one drop... That is beautiful
This is a prototype for a special SFO request for one of the FB knife groups. They ended up not getting enough pre-orders to purchase the blue bone handles, and changed to use smooth giraffe bone instead. They only made 3 of these blue sawcut bone prototypes in the Tuna Valley brand.

Truly gorgeous!
My lack oh knife knowledge is starting to haunt me.
Tuna Valley caught my attention. (Tunaguant creek runs through our yard) They’re a couple of towns west of us.
That qualifies as a reason to own one….right?!

The name Tuna Valley refers to the Bradford, PA area where the Tunungwant River runs through. Locals call it the Tuna River for short, and therefore the area is known as the Tuna Valley. Originally in very early 1900's, during the merger of C. Platts' & Sons Cutlery with Case Cutlery and while the new factory was being built, they needed to keep selling knives. In 1906 they ordered in various knives from Germany, and stamped them Tuna Valley Cutlery. So that is the origins of the brand.

Are you located in that area of Pennsylvania/New York? If so you definitely need to start collecting them! :p
